1.0's almost always suck a little in some areas and Bitwig will be probably not be an exception. 
Their launch success will be highly dependent on performance because that target user is a heavy VI user. If performance is good, it will all be good. Some will snipe at the missing bits as usual, but as long as it runs well it should be really successful.
