New version online... Thanks again...

Post

Just figured out what this thread is for... this is the first time I partake in a KvR contest and I'm intrigued by the difference in styles and songs that come in. Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing your comments on my song.

I'd like to resubmit my song from last August's Free-for-All comp. Could you make an exception for me? I didn't know what I was doing back then. I still don't, but I'm having a lot of fun with my new EQ (courtesy of the wonderful folks who voted for me in last month's contest :D ). I know I could improve my August entry! :P :x

Just kidding Ixox. Really... I didn't think your mix sounded bad at all.

But I might suggest sitting on something other than a rocking chair when recording your guitar parts...

I have uploaded version 1.01. Mostly cosmetic work. more breaks and fills etc.
Thanks to moderator :)

When i listen to it the day after... I really thought i destroyed the song. As i spent something like 15/20 houres on it... I asked an other chance...
Isn't the new one better ?

Hey Gordon, that's some mad stuff you got going on there!
Me likes!

Well, for my taste, the piano is a bit too loud, but that's about it.

Oh, and what's that TubiLeSax? Never heard about it...
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

I listened to both and the new one is a lot better... The vocals seem to sit a lot better in the mix. :)

Now I want to re-do my vocals!...:P ...

It's because of the lyrics. I had to changed them a little... :P
Yes, 15/20 hours from the moment i get my guitare, starting browsing the KVR lyrics thread to the moment i press "submit" in the contest thread.
Usually it's closer to 8/10 hours.
Writing that, i think it would be interesting to know how much time people spent on their entries...

Thanks Glooper... I'm happy you don't prefer the first one....

for a contest entry, between 5 and 15 hours, usually around 8.

that's why my productions suck so much most of the time...

well, maybe it's simply because i'm not a good producer... :?

Depends what it is, spent quite a long time on this one, probably about 10 hours, slow stuff is always harder to do, the facking dynamics and all that.

Post

contest entry i usually post a link within ten minutes of starting it :D which explains why i get 1 vote a month
:ud:

Dang, I probably spent at least 20 hours, maybe even more. In 8 hours I can't even get a loop going
