At first I was a bit hesitant...Arturia can be slow to provide updates...but figured why not, it should be developed enough to work.
Sounds pretty darn good !
Audiobus is a necessity though....I hope they add it. Would be a shame not too.

Even Audiocopy has to be via Tabletop.

This thing sounds amazing and the GUI is outstanding. Very well laid out. I love the performance section. The Arpeggiator has some nice features and when you couple it with the performance pads and some moderate fx, really makes the synth sing.
Fantastic job by Arturia!
Arturia should release as many of their V collection synths as they can implemented this good. Put them all as tabletop ready and I think I just found my new ipad DAW.
Of the several MiniMoog softsynths I've tried, I like this one the best for the simple but satisfying layout/features/GUI.

I hooked it up to my notation Xio synth last night and the xy pad on the Xio automatically mapped to the first xy pad on the imini. I absolutely am in love with this synth. I have bass gigs Saturday and Sunday and will be using this, so I will give a report as to how it fares live. Can't imagine it will be anything but awesome. If you search keyboard magazine's site, there are two very good mini moog articles, one on programming Bernie worrell's flashlight sound (it's fairly close, now I need to practice for a million hours to sound 1/1000th like Bwrnie Worrell...), one on the two sounds Alex Al used for Billie Jean on the aborted Michael Jackson shows that are documented in This is It. Cool programming tips. Since I use my keyboard pretty much for synth bass live, the imini is what I needed and have been trying to emulate with other synths.

What about audiobus? Will you be adding it soon? I am only using audiobus supported apps, and have no interest in Tabletop.

To my eyes, it seems tabletop and audiobus have become mutually exclusive. Almost alternatives to each other. I hope this is not the case, but the more I look at it, I don't know if ANY tabletop device will get audiobus. Hope I'm wrong, and I'd at least like ACP that can be used with polyphony.

Me neither. And even with Tabletop getting Audiobus (there are rumours...)i don't like to fire up a whole other app in the background just to use a certain synths or Drummer (iMPC) in Cubasis/Auria.But Retronyms are responsible for the port so i'm pretty sure we would NEVER see Audiobus and all the other goodies on the solo iMiniaudiojunkie wrote:Kevin,Kevin [Arturia] wrote:Hi guys,

Doesn't bother me THAT much, the next good iOS Synths is always waiting arround the corner...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we won't see a response from Kevin about this either, although I'm sure he's reading this thread very thoroughly. He'll have to be cornered to get him to respond to the audiobus queries.Crabshack wrote:Me neither.

I agree though, the next iOS synth will be waiting around the corner--I'm passing this one up... and I have no intention of getting Tabletop, even if it does get audiobus--I've got a 16GB iPad 2, and space is at a premium--I won't load a 1Gb app just to get audiobus for a single synth. Not gonna happen.

I'm in the same boat with you Sean. I can't afford the space required for tabletop. I'd buy this thing if it had audiobus or at least audio copy.

Kinda interesting that no one would want something without audiobus support.
Personally I don't even run my synths through it ( not to say I don't have it). I usually just run my ipad into my niter face (presonus) and get some great sounds.

I want to do all of my iPad work on the iPad. If I wanted to use my Windows DAW, I have plenty of VSTs for that purpose (including the Free version of Arturia's Minimoog
). The point is that I want to do everything inside the box, I have iPad space limitations, and Tabletop is not an option I want to entertain at this time. So, for me, I'm not going to buy anything that doesn't have a native way to work with all of my other Audiobus compatible apps.

I can tell you that we are well known to provide update for our product and we will do provide update for iMini.
As you expect I can not promise you that we will implement audiobus or not. We have to wait a little to see what we will do.
But it seems that Audiobus is in high demand so we will take it into consideration for sure.
