hello. I am looking for a VST that will emulate the Headphone Virtualization on windows. Maybe something I can put on a master track? if nothing like that exists, how do I go about emulating this with other effects? I have searched the forum and google for info on this, but found none. the reason I want something like this is because I recently realized that when i create music, I have this turned on. I should add that I do everything on headphones, because the music I make is created to be listened to on headphones. any help will be appreciated.

TB Isone does this rather well.
It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.

thank you, I will try it out. so I need to look into room simulators and Binaural Speaker sims?

No, TB Isone is different. For room simulators and Binaural Speaker sims, try the OTHER TB Isone (Isone Surround?) or even Wave Arts Panorama. If you really want to invest, I can't praise VRM enough, especially if you want to have portability with rather boring parts (mixing, etc) of musicmaking.

ok, thank you :) I am going to try the demo for Isone, maybe VRM if that doesn't do the trick.

My experience [includes Ambient Music creation] has taught me that it's better to work with speakers, monitors - even if some people will maybe listen on headphones, later. Well, some people out there use even their laptop speakers as monitors... :o :hihi: ...that is definitely a doubtful approach!

I've done this. It was a situation where I had to.

You have to be careful, really careful. That mix is now lost, but it was the most satisfying work I've ever done.

Oh, yeah, and mono compatibility? You don't need to worry about it with laptop speakers ;-)

I am considering getting some monitors, when I can afford them. I attempted to use my laptop's built in speakers once, that won't work. I tried Isone, and schnapsglas, THANK YOU!!! it was exactly what I was looking for. playing with it for a few minuets I was able to get damn near the same effect as the headphone virtualization. I can't wait to dive into this thing fully.
