It could have been set to 9.99 seconds, the number of the pleece. You ain't seen nothing if you thought the number of the beast was bad!

In all due respect, plug-ins (especiallly those with lots of settings that get displayed simultaneously) probably aren't the wisest hobby if you've an interest in numerology.

With all your fervour, did you ever consider actually reading the book? The number is six hundred threescore and six, which is a difference of 599.34 from the number that apparently offended you. On top of that Revelations was written in Greek. The number is not any old juxtaposition of the decimal numeral six, it is 600+60+6 - which are very different characters: chi, xi, stigma. Hebrew used a similar numbering system. It happens to translate to the first six letters of the Roman numeral system DCLXVI, which may have been deliberate.

Even if you're going to interpret a particular sequence of numerals as evil under all circumstances and not just when applied to a person, it would probably help if you identified the 'correct' number.

Oddly enough, in Greek, 600 is the letter 'chi', the symbol of a cross. Funny old world, isn't it?

But congratulations on possibly the most bizarre complaint about a piece of software I've seen in a while.

Fortunately my Aspergers only makes me focus on *patterns* in things. If I started to see *meanings* in things then I would go mad. Or be religious, perhaps

I don't get technical about the difference between what is actuality and what just about everybody on the planet believes, such as - what does 666 mean?

Now that you all have shed some light on the meaning of valhalla, thank you. This plug really didn't change the way I mix, I had good reverbs before this one came out, and I still have good reverbs. so if anybody who does not have Vroom yet and was considering buying it, but just didn't have the money, I'll give it you. I don't know how that process goes though, so if the person who takes me up on this offer could be prepared to give me instructions on how to go about this, that would make it go quicker.

Funny thing is in Vroom, in the Bright Room algo, there is a preset called AbbeyChurchOfFossanova and the decay time is 6.61, It is obvious that someone went out of their way to make sure that when they saw what 2/3 of 10 was, they altered the number just a bit.

So, I'm glad that I can stop watching this topic for replies and put that time to a much more needed area in my life(my fault). I tell you what though, This reminds me to thoroughly check out anything that is the new most talked about,must have, why don't you have this, all that,Before I take part in it. Sure I could look over the names the numbers and everything related, but I choose to depart with the associations altogether. It's not worth the electricity in my brain to give this kind of thing any more thought than i ought to.

Hey i get a little funny myself.. but i still buying studio devil pre amp.. but honestly if it was called the studio devil 666 preamp , as in it's name, there's no way i would ever use it. Just a lifestyle choice.

hey i honestly didn't realise this was about a decay setting originally.. i misunderstood.. so i am kind of embarrassed i jumped in *at all*, cause it really is nothing other than a number for reverb decay...that would have never bothered me in the slightest.. it would only bother me if an advertised name.. again, personal choice, like i never bought steve duda's plugins cause of the names.. i got ragged on pretty bad about that.. i say, let us guys do our thing, and you do yours..Did you notice once Sean answered the question, Frank acknowledged it and it was all over, and Brother Charles suggested he might have been more subtle about it, but it's the others bumping about it now and having a go at the guys? If the decay control was in not IN YOUR FACE while checking out the NEW UPDATE and the 1st preset you come too "Dark Pad" in the Sanctuary algo, It probably would not have struck me the way it did. That was not the case though, My very 1st thing to do upon demoing the new update was check out the new talked about Sanctuary algo, and it was right there in my face. That is why I went to the lengths I did about it. The decay is somewhere around the 1st control I move if I'm checking out a preset.
