According to a thread on discchord tabletop can't record I mini polyphonically, can anyone disprove this?

Sucks if true!

I love to have MY minimoog on my iPads, but there are 2 things I don't like:

1.: in scale mode when you hit the black line between the keys you don't hear any sound...

2.: the gypsy scale ( also called "Hungarian minor" in ThumbJam) is not compatible with iKaossilator, Kaossilator 2, Animoog and Magellan.

With key C selected there should be a "B", not "B flat".

I can tell you that we are well known to provide update for our product and we will do provide update for iMini.
As you expect I can not promise you that we will implement audiobus or not. We have to wait a little to see what we will do.
But it seems that Audiobus is in high demand so we will take it into consideration for sure.

Thanks for replying to the AudioBus issue. I will certainly buy iMini if it supports Audiobus. I'm not a tabletop user and don't plan to be one in the future.

While Audiobus is of no interest to me, I miss a setting to set the receiving MIDI Channel and a Panorama Setting.

I often use two Apps at the same time, which requires me to set the incoming MIDI Channel from my MPC and also pan the Apps L and R so I can record the Apps separately as mono via the regular Stereo Output of the iPad.

Maybe those can be considered for a future update.

So far, I can only use the App exclusively on m iPad in my setup, but that is a waste of the iPad possibilities.

As for the Sound and the layout, I am pretty happy, a good Synth app.

It's confirmed in that thread by one of the devs-a decision was made to stretch CPU and allow more devices in Tabletop.
Seems like it should be up to the user tho'....

So funny that last year everyone bought synths without issue. Some supported audio copy/paste some did not. Now everyone demanding Audiobus and they won't buy unless Audiobus enabled.

Why limit yourself to working on ipad exclusively with ipad apps? These synths are fantastic standalone sound modules. I don't get it. Audiobus is great for recording, but doesn't anyone just play synths? I have 30 + ipad synths or noisemakers and they were all tremendously inexpensive with fantastic sound. Only a handful are Audiobus enabled. I hook up my iMS20 to the iMS20 controller and just jam with it with some drum loops or synth loops. I can record all that if I want pretty easy in my DAW, but usually don't. Yeah it has Audiobus on iMS20, but I don't use it often.

As far as other MiniMoog variants in VST format, this one is brilliantly right up there competing for great sound quality with excellent performance features. AND ONLY $10!

Can't see what all the complaint is about....compare that to your $99 to $200 vst.

Tabletop is free now. I bought it when it was still a paid app. So what. iMPC and iMini are great inside it and the interface isn't bad. I started running out of space on my ipad too, but got rid of the games I played once every 6 months and found room.

I can also now take a MiniMoog anywhere I want without toting my PC and audio interface and controller keyboard around.

Ok, gripe over....continue with complaints as usual....

I do realize this is typical fickle musician attitude though, so not surprising everyone demanding Audiobus.

I've seen people threatening to dump Beatmaker 2 if it didn't get on the bus. Those same people 6 months earlier were posting about how cool Beatmaker 2 was and favorite app, etc, etc.

@Wormhelmet

You know what a forum is about? It's about the exchange of opinions. You have yours,i get that.I appreciate if you leave us ours.Thanks.I work everywhere on my iPad and that's what i prefer now.My Macbook is collecting dust. And yes, theres a shitload of good synths now (even with audiobus)and everybody can decide how he would like to use it or not.And for me:i don't buy apps without audiobus anymore, they just don't match my personal workflow.Simple as that. But that doesn't mean we are talking about a bad synth here, right?

Anyway, synths without audiobus integration just feel a little"outdated"to me but again,i might be the only one thinking like this...

Thanks for saying that Wormhelmet-I agree...

You're not the only one thinking that way. It's on other forums too. I am exercising my forum opinion here too ya know!

I think that a little outdated is not really fair for a synth that is integrated with a DAW type app though (Tabletop). It's proprietary, but kind of like Reason I guess, but an ipad variant. Why do people like Reason when there is so many DAW and VST options in a more standard format? Thinks its kind of similar here with Tabletop. Only difference is Tabletop is free now and iMini $10, and iMPC was $7 at launch. That's a big difference from Reason and still lets you keep it all on the ipad.

enough outta me. To each their own, but still would like to see the entire Arturia collection in Tabletop ready format. I'd be all over it if their next releases were as great as this one.

iMini indeed sounds great! I bought it straight away, simply coz I love synths & want to show my support & appreciation to Arturia & the BMF. At the same time I would love update/s that allow me more freedom when using iMini. AB, ACP, virtual midi, & midi sync would be great additions that would allow everyone to work in their own way <3

Thanks again Arturia for making a wonderful & great sounding synth! <3 All the best <3

It really depends on each person's workflow. I have not yet needed Audiobus (though I do plan on using it at some point). I still use Audio Copy/Paste and prefer apps that have that feature.

As for the iMini, oddly I am using two Mini sounds (on my Yamaha rack) for a song this week. Makes me wonder if I should get iMini.
