It's impossible to give only one correct answer to your questions, as there is probably an infinite number of combination of different plugins and sample's that should give you the ability to make tracks like this (assuming you have the skills).

I have no idea what amount of money you have available, so I'm just putting some things on the table.

You can also chose to get a decent sample player and get a big amount of sampled drum kits.

For typical synth sounds, you have so many synths to pick from, it's crazy.
