sounded pretty digital too
Perhaps it's down to the (seemingly required) trend of having everything sound very aggressive lately, whether it's new software or hardware.

Fortunately that whole dubstep sort of vibe is now reaching the point of over-saturation - in more than one way :) So it shouldn't be too long until the pendulum starts swinging back towards the lush and the beautiful again. Hmm, considering that, NI might not want to take so long with Massive 2 ;)

If 35 people put in $5 each though we could get it for you. I'd be in.

I always thought for along time now there should be every month or maybe every 3 months a member awarded with a donation.. we all put vote for who we want to get it and all put in what we want till we hit the cost of the plugin and we stop there. better to have small fixed block sizes of $ amounts to donate .. the concept might not work, it might. but it's a feel good one and i love those :)
 i was just fooling around. would be nice though :hihi:

yeah that would be a nice idea, but im not sure how it would work, i know wed have a poll each month, but how would we decide who deserves to be on the poll?
:ud:

It's always seemed to me that the only real truly pioneering aspect of Diva's development was the willingness to bring our collective CPUs to their knees. As far as I can see, NI could have easily been the first if they had only decided the CPU cost on current machines {at the time} was worth it. I guess releasing such CPU guzzlers didn't fit in to their business model, and they've been fairly conservative {for the better} with the CPU usage on the synths they've put out - thus far.

Yes ? No ?
From this I can only assume that you were not in the market for soft synths when any of NIs synths first came out. At every release of one of their synths (not updates, initial release), they were typically the most CPU hungry synths available at that time. Often unmanageably so for machines of the period. Their synths are simply old. I still love them and I love that they are so cpu efficient because they've been made for older machines. But nothing to do with trying to make cpu efficient synths, just synths that can actually run. I would say that Diva CPU consumption on today's machines is similar to NI synths upon their release.

Instead of 25 pages of speculation, can't somebody call them and ask:

I don't think NI, who's responsible for some of the most innovative stuff ever, would release a Moog emu. Especially when there's so many fine ones on the market.
If they do, then they are officially out of ideas and just attempting to suck bank accounts dry.
Prove me wrong NI....

i thought that - yet another minimoog emulation

diva, minimoogV, Minimonsta, Minimax, then all the freeware ones like the elektrostudio etc.

I hope it is not really...unless it sound like the real deal with low cpu...
