Interesting rhythmically. Surpising, but I wonder where it wants to go? Or is it just chill out space funk?

You need a lot of patience because you keep thinking "it's going to climax soon with some extra beats and stuff".

I was actually worried that it'd be a take on the arrangements of Instant Classic, the barbershop quartet:

Instant Classic - Is It True What They Say About Dixie?

Hiya, Rurik. Glad to see we're still sharing a gravity well

I enjoyed this. It sounds like a nice summertime tune. Of course, in AZ, summer is the default state, right? :)

The brushed snare is one of your PM drums? It sounds very good.

Thanks for sharing.

Pleasant dreamy melodies and I liked the slow modulation on the synth. It seems to have a similar vibe to "For a Moment". Nice drums too.

Very nice indeed. Made me think of the test card, lovely intermission vibe. Doesn't all that modern music sound in a dreadful rush to get somewhere? It would be nice to hear that big old walking bass on a proper sound system. It's just right to my ears. No aggression but plenty warm and weighty. Sweet.

there you go jesse :) for topical application i'll say lately the easy ones get finished more often. the composition resisted amendment (even parts from the ideal).

ty for listen, still here

making the medium work for this style is work (and any potential musicality has to combat technical asceticism). i've moved away from the lifestyle where one listens to music.. it makes some compositional things easier.. and perhaps sharpens the appreciation of vernacularity :) the delayed isolated lead seems to work well (as used previously) here, adding nostalgia and being reflective where a "call and response" phrase filling the holes wouldn't have the same introspective sense.

brush is noise6le (might be in my quickies thread), only two "noise" oscillators (sine contour, pitch is random between minimum and max and recalced every 90 degrees or something). the algo has a "grainyness" to it (because of the fixed, sinus period) which produces artifact/grit, just nice for this.
