27 pages were created last week in 6 days,

This new week Monday is starting to fade and there is less than 1 new page of new posts.

So buzz is objectively down. Edit: count 2 now :)

Does anyone think K9 will follow soon after? Sounds like NI.
It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.
You can hire me if you are in Toronto! Contact for details.

Of course. One thing they're not is stupid. It will only work with Reaktor 6, so in order to use it you must either upgrade to 6 or Komplete 9.
Ans I'm sure it will be included in K9.
So either way, for me, it's a couple of hundred dollars....

Or Reaktor 6 Player. Like Razor, Prism, Skanner, Spark et al
, so in order to use it you must either upgrade to 6 or Komplete 9.

or not.
An idiot on Set Theory:

I hope so. I'd like to add the heavyocity stuff like damage but I'm guessing it will be included in the ultimate so it would sense to upgrade once that is out. They typically do release a new komplete at the same time as major products or upgrades, so this could be the driver for a new komplete, along with the new effects and sample content of late.

The problem with Komplete now is that they have multiple versions

1) not really Komplete
2) Komplete-ish
3) Komplete if you are willing to ignore these 5 or 6 products over here
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I think 2 and 3 are the same product there. ;)

As someone who wants Reaktor development to continue, I think/fear Reaktor Player would drive away the stepping-bros who have become NI's bread and butter the last several years. The synths released on Reaktor Player have been pretty intellectual/experimental for lack of a better term. Even Lazerbass, whose name implies instant radio-friendly wubbles has "ratio add/multiply," "part beating," and a "periodic filter" with a "pinch" parameter.

If this new "modular" monarch is going to have traction I think it will be placed far away from anything resembling math modules. For Reaktor users, especially those who rely on higher-level elements like myself, this would have been really cool. Unfortunately it will end up as a standalone to get more buyers for K9. My last pessimistic comment is that they will "close" Reaktor at 5.9 and just give maintenance updates which will occasionally include a new core module here and there along with the annual $49 Reaktor Player synth. Of course I hope I am completely(I mean Kompletely) wrong.

The demos don't sound too analog to me.

I'm all for something a little more "entry-level" with regards to Virtual Modular. Despite nearly a decade working with Max/MSP I was always intimidated by Reaktor for some reason. My entry point was fiddling with the Classis Modular Macros and stuff like Ampere. So a patchable virtual analog for someone like me who just wants to build their own semi-unique sound-makers is a good thing.

I mean we already have Tassman 4 / KarmaFX Modular / Vaz Modular 3 that fit into that category. But many will tell you they are limited - long in the tooth etc...

Also can I just say i'm sick of buying Komplete! Everytime I get suckered by the discounted upgrade they pump out just before upgrading and then uninstall everything but Reaktor and Absynth. Such a waste.
