downloaded but unable to authorize, anyone know to authorize max, the serial in live does not work in the max authorization process?

im not entirely sure what you mean, but you wont be able to run max as a standalone, you need a full license for it for that to work.
you would need to check your Live Preferences to confirm that M4L is licensed, or open an M4L device.

It said on the ableton site I needed to download max 6.1 to run with live so I did and now it asks me to enter a serial number to run so I don't get it. I don't need to download max?

No, you need to download and install it, but, as I said, without a full MAX/MSP license, which is not the M4L license, you cant run it separately from Live; you'd only be able to run it inside Live.

Again, open a Max4Live device inside Live to check if its working, dont open the standalone MAX/MSP.

Anybody know what the deal is with push?...dispatch starts in 2 weeks of abletons site but some retailers are expecting delivery on the 11th?

Grrrr. Fifteen minutes plus, and about 8 attempts, to get the 'add to cart' to work, now on my 4th attempt to get to the payment page.

edit : and that's the whole site down 'for maintenance'.

werent they expecting a lot of traffic after deciding to only give Suite8 owners 5 days to upgrade, or something?
