Nothing "poor" about Ableton, other than how they chose to do things.
Cheers,
Tom

The aggro going on at the ableton forums as always, just so classic. If they're that riled up over a server overload, wait till they see the bugs they didn't fix yet. Poor Ableton.

I have a feeling that this won't have a happy ending...
I expect many to start saying things like "how do I downgrade to Live 8?"
Ha, my trial download is complete. Let's see.

It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.

and ironically the downloads are about as fast as my broadband will allow.

EPIC Fail for Ableton.
They don't have a bridge for 32 bit Plugins in Ableton 9 64 Bit
This is the new technology -.-

Everyone knows providing bridge for 32 bit is SO 2012.MillerSam wrote:EPIC Fail for Ableton.

heheheh.
I look forward to read 500,000 post-threads about how to efficiently use the "samples" folder if you have more than 500,000 samples...
Or why there's only one browser column now to sort by (or see at all) and why the "rating" isn't a user-set-value but internally computed by an drunk AI from Betelgeuse.
Everything is database driven now, so forget about just browsing to a location without adding it to the user folder first - and then wait for the indexer to be finished to see it - if it doesn't crash, that is.
But Ableton is setting new records as well: I guess this is the first completely database driven browser that doesn't offer any way of tagging your sounds or samples.
But hey, there's always finder or explorer, isn't there?
The good news is, that the CPU meter now has an even better explanation about what it does in the docs as before. It turns out the same drunk AI from Betelgeuse is setting the values by an intricate random process.
Claims that it is just an animated gif have been denied.
It still has basically nothing to do with the actual performance headroom you have left, this would be way too simple.
Take this server breakdown to breathe and to remember that there will always be a sale later on.
Cheers,
Tom

Are people at Ableton colorblind? Just saying, every new version seems to look more grim and grim.

Maybe it's the post dub-step angst thing. Looks like someone poured cement into my screen.ThomasHelzle wrote:Well, be thankful that it isn't looking like the websiteschnapsglas wrote:Are people at Ableton colorblind? Just saying, every new version seems to look more grim and grim.

Further to that, if you've got the Glue and haven't got an email by later today, check your settings at Cytomic - you need to make sure you are set to receive update emails. I didn't have "send out news emails" switched on but I got mine soon after I did.Aloysius wrote:Andy sent out emails with codes in them.pwal wrote:There's further discount if I own the glue?
