Cool, the new install of Live9 Suite remembered my most recent beta configuration options I only had to update the library locations for my packs and everything was magically back in place

Recently got the special offer for the upgrade from Live 8 Standard to Live 8 Suite and Live 9 Suite (free upgrade) for 209 Euros. I also had a few Live packs (e.g. Analog, Sampler) to get that upgrade price.
Live Suite 8.4 was already installed and i just installed Live 9 and Max 4 Live and now having a look at the additional Live Packs available for the Suite. That collection is HUGE, both in numbers and size of the content.

Managed to download it last night. Initial estimated time for download was 6 hours, but it was done in much less than that. I guess the initial peak is dropping off now that a lot of people have theirs.
Probably install it at the weekend unless I get some time one evening before that.

I downloaded the larger packs this lunchtime, and whilst they started pretty slowly (100K/s !) eventually they got up to about 35Mb/s altogether!robojam wrote:Managed to download it last night. i bought Live 9 Suite download anyway with the Cytomic coupon (a big
to Andy!) after having listened to the orchestral demos, which i liked a lot and now patience is my mother.

Up to 1,7 MB/s here (with 16Mbit DSL connection). Already downloaded Live 9 Suite Upgrade and 15 GB of Live packs today. Most of that already installed too.mellotronaut wrote:100KB/s is the maximum download speed, i can get up here.whyterabbyt wrote:I downloaded the larger packs this lunchtime, and whilst they started pretty slowly (100K/s !) eventually they got up to about 35Mb/s altogether!robojam wrote:Managed to download it last night. Some "older" Live Packs seem to be updated for Live 9. For example many of the "Drum Machines" presets contain the "The Glue" Compressor now.

Yea i made the mistake of not copying over my settings, installing non-beta, then getting pissed and re-installing the whole library. If you copy over your database and files out of the preferences folder then it will remember everything from the beta and you dont have to reinstall
