idk if its real or not but I saw a leaked ad from a reputable online retailer that said Komplete 9 will be here April 1st. Idk if its photoshopped or if the person found it at the right moment in time but I am ready to see it.

I would be suspicious of anything rumored to release April 1st.KevWestBeats wrote:idk if its real or not but I saw a leaked ad from a reputable online retailer that said Komplete 9 will be here April 1st. This space has been unintentionally left blank.

Makes perfect sense, except that April 1st is Easter Monday (although this may not be a problem for online stores).
I was quite curious what NI's future marketing strategy may be, after they had given away almost their complete line-up with K8Ultimate at a heavily discounted price. Now, with some serious new entries like Monarch and Battery4 (maybe Massive2, too?), they will nevertheless sell K9 updates in shiploads.

As long as it's long enough so it makes my upgrade worthwhile I'm happy.
I'd like to see Traktor pro included in Komplete, actually. It's always been one of those fun little toys that costs a little bit too much. I'd use it just for fun if it was included in the box!

Guitar rig lacks in the area of awesomeness significantly behind those 2 monster pieces of hardware. If they could pull off bringing guitar rig up to that level then they would be able to double the price of guitar rig and get it.Tonebldr wrote:I hope they improve on the Guitar Rig personally.
GR gets stomped onby Fractal Audio and Kempler.
I have no Komplete and really want to upgrade my Kontakt,
Reaktor licenses... the sale price for K8 + the upgrade to K9
is likely the same as K9 new?
I will probably wait to see what is in 9 simply because I can do math and a $400 price for K8 is still not going to be enough of a discount since the upgrade will probably be $200 making it $600 to get it at that level which is $100 more than street price.
If I could snag 8 for $300 I'd probably fork out the dough to get it knowing that the upgrade of $200 would make it the same cost as I'd pay to get K9 new. Plus that would enable me to break that expense up and not get caught spending $500 for a toy essentially. We do have to consider the ramifications of others who watch our spending on gear and who like to make comments about it.
