ive met a few of the devs who's synths are on that list in person, some of them a fair few times.
they have all been the nicest kind of people you could hope to meet.
from openly discussing their software to just being out for drinks, and some of the stories from some of them, about artists theyve worked with over the years

also the majority of the ones ive had contact online with have been fairly cool too.

The list is rather interesting however. And I did place a vote for what I think deserves more recognition, because it doesn't hurt. It is a meaningless list, and I have to admit I have my "top 10 softsynth" in my head as well, but all this "official" nonsense does get on my nerves sometimes. And CM/FM, whatever you might think, does have a huge influence.

I just wanted to share the list for its own interest and so people can bash CM/FM yet again.

Or bash me, instead

DUNE is missing, it's better than 90% of that list.

Markus and Bastiaan at Tone2 are really great. Peter at Sonic Projects (OP-X) is great also.

William at Wusik.com is really nice too, and there's Dave at GForce, great support.

with bundles I tend to consider them as a single sound source simply because they are paid for with the same purchase and so its an issue that has to be looked at in terms of marketing as a single sale item. The fact that each synth has multiple patches we love is what leads us to prefer one synth over another so why separate our our likes by synth when we are shopping for sounds and each purchase stands on its own merits as an acquisition of sounds and for me bundles should be thought of as a unit of purchase and so be tied together as one item.

honorable mention: Zebra, DCAM, Waldorf, MOTU MACHV, All the fruity Loop synths if ever packaged together would be a cool collection as well.

My synth taste is: I like, in no particular order, Oddity, Diva, Curve2, DCAM, Diversion, LuSH, ImpOSCar2, Alchemy, ... wait, I'm missing two. I will reluctantly bundle Zebra and Razor.

well, i only own one synth in the top ten (and even that's a bloody only-good-for-soundtracks-and burnt-piano-music rompler)
