Musikmesse in Frankfurt starts on April 10th this year. That's just two weeks after this offer ends. So I guess NI will show something there.Lode_Runner wrote:I spekulate Komplete Nine will be released March 27.

I hope so too -- like adding a freakin step sequencer would be nicehibidy wrote:Maybe so. I think battery needs a major overhaul.Lode_Runner wrote:

I was quite surprised when I learned it didn't have one and it's simply a one-shot-player with a few tweakable params.
SHOCKING!

IF Komplete 9 contains battery 4 with a rudimentary step sequencer and a bunch of patterns that can also be read directly by machine people with Komplete would always know they could upgrade to Maschine and get more controller over their drum samplerOzWozEre wrote:I hope so too -- like adding a freakin step sequencer would be nicehibidy wrote:Maybe so. They gave Massive away to Maschine owners recently - now if Komplete 9 included Massive 2 people with Maschine might already know it and consider upgrading
If Maschine 1.9 makes use of all those coloured buttons to be an uber kontroller for the remix decks on Traktor then Traktor fans can use it too
I can't think of ways to make Traktor users want Komplete 9 but I would not be surprised of NI's marketing people can - this kind of cross pollination seems like good idea for a company who I suspect make more and more money from hardware and upgrades
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

You've all got me wanting Komplete 9 now! Question: I'm still on Komplete 7, when 9 comes out is the upgrade going to be $199? Is $199 always the upgrade price between versions? Or is it only $199 at the moment because it's on special... If so, what is the upgrade price normally? Cheers.

Well NI are certainly the Kings of Value to say the least IMO, it'll always be interesting to see what else they have up their sleeves...ericj23 wrote:...

There's definately a gap "somewhere" between the hardware controller camp and the DAW piano-roll camp when it comes to "beat making" that would be nice to see filled with a fuller/richer Battery 4 release.
I just want something to handle my beats, I don't want to copy and paste notes in my DAW and I just don't need a full-on MPC controller type deal.
I guess this is why Geist exists but my pain point isn't worth $250 for that
Although looking at Stylus RMX might be an option
I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!

No one really knows of course, and when v9 comes out you will be 2 versions behind, but I'm pretty sure the upgrade price wouldn't be more than $250?an-electric-heart wrote:You've all got me wanting Komplete 9 now! It's gonna be a sweet deal anyway you cook it IMO

You say that, but I am still on komplete 5 because they still haven't added anything I really need - mountains of samples doesn't really do it for me!OzWozEre wrote:No one really knows of course, and when v9 comes out you will be 2 versions behind, but I'm pretty sure the upgrade price wouldn't be more than $250?an-electric-heart wrote:You've all got me wanting Komplete 9 now! I would assume that Komplete 9 will include some of the more recent FX that have been added, and those might well interest me, especially if there are a few more crazy Driver-esque things

The N.I site says to upgrade to Komplete 8 from Komplete "2-7" is $199, so I don't think they care how many versions behind you are... that's the impression I get anyway... unless Komplete 9 really is about to be released and they're trying to dump physical stock of K8.OzWozEre wrote:No one really knows of course, and when v9 comes out you will be 2 versions behind, but I'm pretty sure the upgrade price wouldn't be more than $250?an-electric-heart wrote:You've all got me wanting Komplete 9 now! That's how it's been for a very long time. They don't really care how far back you are.an-electric-heart wrote:The N.I site says to upgrade to Komplete 8 from Komplete "2-7" is $199, so I don't think they care how many versions behind you are... that's the impression I get anyway... unless Komplete 9 really is about to be released and they're trying to dump physical stock of K8.OzWozEre wrote:No one really knows of course, and when v9 comes out you will be 2 versions behind, but I'm pretty sure the upgrade price wouldn't be more than $250?an-electric-heart wrote:You've all got me wanting Komplete 9 now! Need your opinion, guys!
I don't own Komplete yet, but getting that is a tempting idea!
Do you think it is worth getting Komplete 8 now (399€ on sale) Or should I wait for Komplete 9? Really puzzled about this...
And how much you think Komplete 9 will cost when it's released?
