Yes I am making that assumption - this is a music forum so why not assume that everyone is a potential customer for the software being discussed? Why would those who have no interest be "random people just trying to show their superiority"? I have no clue where you got that one from.

OK then, so can you provide a link to the demos so that anyone who is a naysayer can demo them today in place of reading the description?

Post

the whole "one synth to rule them all"
its just advertising slogans, it is called "monark"
monarchs rule.
dont think it was meant to be taken as literal?
was it?

although, im not ovrly excited by it
ill keep an eye out for its bastard off spring in the ul though, maybe will inspire some new works with some of the stuff inside? :)

btw did anyone recently order anything for the NI shop? do they add and tax or anything or is the 149$ price of the upgrade the final price?

You think there'll be a demo... for a Reaktor ensemble?
legally? idk, but does that really matter?
i think it is you who misunderstands the concept of "demo" here...

Dont forget the ARP 2500

That was a pretty mean bugger too.

Are you for real?

@demo: There isn't one for razor, so I would be surprised if there was one for this. As stated, I was not pleased with how razor performed (which is mostly a reaktor thing) on my machine.

Anyways, it's moot now for me because it's included in the K9 update and I'll have anyways (149 for an updated battery, mix series is a really good deal so I'll have this too regardless of how it performs)

I wonder why marketing slogans are taken so seriously anyway. If it was for those slogans, everyone would live in premium houses, eat premium food and wear premium clothes...

why would you assume that? this thread and the people participating in it arent talking about buying or being in the market for a new synth - if you look at most of the posts its just projection and wish-fulfillment... people see somethign shiny and with a line like one synth blah blah they visualizing their perfect synth.. much like people are doing with bitwig. hype buyers dont mean product buyers

now how could i do that? the products not even out, silly!

demo = demonstration. there is no connotation of where that demonstration came from. go ahead and get all morally superior on me, youre all still wrong

It's not any different with commercials for soap, shamwow, perfume or beer.

What are you on?

The slogan existed before the name of it was known, and everyone is potentially a customer for the 'one synth' that 'rules them all'.

The product we are being shown here is not that, at a glance, demo or not.

Im sure it is a fine synth.
It does not 'end' anything.
Well, maybe. Hopefully. It will be the end of thinking about thirty years ago...

Exactly - so it kind of makes your earlier rant pretty pointless:

The connotation is usually that the manufacturer of the software will provide it. Which they haven't yet.

No one's getting morally superior, just pointing out the illogicalities of your anger.
