Right you are... That should now be fixed in the latest release.StudioDave wrote: Thanks for the tip on File/New, that does remove all regions and items. However, I noted that MIDI data and control curves from the previous project were still present in their editors.
That should've been fixed in yesterday's Git, but let me know if it's still happening...StudioDave wrote:Some clarification re: the gain curve bug, the error occurs in multi-item edit mode.
Yes, the audio input recording works by first connecting something to the input in QJackCtl (obviously an interim solution), the tracks are stereo-only pairs, then record-arming that audio input on the "tracks" tab, then pressing record.StudioDave wrote:Any tips for audio input ?
unetbootin should have a gui option to specify memory set asidecodec_spurt wrote:When it loads from a live CD does that load into RAM as well? That would be good for just having a quick play about and reporting the odd bug. I'll worry about persistence later.
Oh well, I'll work it out I'm sure.
cheers.

That was the preview that made me optimistic we might see it by fall 2013. They do hint at certain things that apparently didn't work smoothly yet, but overall it seemed very much on track.glokraw wrote:The google traslation gives one some hope!Lump wrote:Do you read this: (in german language) ?atraf11 wrote:ya bitwig runs awesome on linux

Maybe time for a new JAD?
Cheers
A pleasure. I'm liking PyDAW more every day, and I'm sure to like it a lot more when I install a new mobo. I'm currently considering a Gigabyte board, quad-core AMD with 8G memory, should be hefty enough to run PyDAW with a synth or two.jeffh wrote:I just uploaded a new version which should AFAIK have fixes for every issue you guys reported... Thanks for helping to test...
Please do ! I have a raft of MIDI features I use with Sequencer Plus, I think you could integrate them easily into PyDAW's design. But all good things in time, I know. Just keep up the fine work polishing up the current codebase, it's fun watching PyDAW grow so quickly. The audio capabilities are, admittedly, far behind MIDI in both workflow and feature-set, but with Ardour traditionally being so audio-centric, somebody has to balance that out with a level of MIDI-worship like the world has never seen before![]()
Sounds like a fine choice to me... No musician ever regrets going quad-coreStudioDave wrote:I'm currently considering a Gigabyte board, quad-core AMD with 8G memory, should be hefty enough to run PyDAW with a synth or two.
Thanks... I'm digging them myself too(and not just because I wrote themStudioDave wrote:Btw, the top-level arrangement tools are excellent, they make for a very fast workflow at the macro-composition level. Nicely done.
Sounds good, thanks... BTW, I did break the audio sequencer playback cursor right before I released last night (cosmetic only, but still: Doh! ), but it's already fixed in Git...StudioDave wrote:Thanks for the audio recording tips, Jeff, I'll check 'em out again today. After the audio tests the article will be reader-ready. I'll send you a draft copy when it's finished.
Crap, how did that happen... Thanks for the heads up, I'll fix it some time tonight..StudioDave wrote:Looks like the cursor is broken on region loop playback too. The looping plays fine but the cursor stops after the first play through the loop.
Thanks. Yeah, I've added persistence there before from the GUI. When it works it is great, but out of about 20 attempts I have only ever got about 3 to actually boot. For some reason UNetbootin just doesn't work for me, though I know it does for lots of others. The startup disk creator or usb creator as it is sometimes referred to has never let me down yet with any flavour of mint I've tried. It even works with other distros sometimes too.glokraw wrote:unetbootin should have a gui option to specify memory set asidecodec_spurt wrote:When it loads from a live CD does that load into RAM as well? to use for casper, the ubuntu persistance setup. Choose the .iso file you
wish to burn, from the unetbootin gui, and off you go
Cheers

Ah, yeah... I should've mentioned that, sorry...codec_spurt wrote: Thanks. Yeah, I've added persistence there before from the GUI. When it works it is great, but out of about 20 attempts I have only ever got about 3 to actually boot.
