if i buy the full version of ableton live suite, logic, reason, cubase or fruity loops...does it come with everything i need to make electronic music? what exactly do i have to buy? where do i get my sounds and samples from to make tracks like dj/producers?

Post

There'a two way:
-buy an all-in-one package, like a Cubase or Ableton
-or buy a cheap DAW (eg. Reaper) with some hq vst

In both ways, you will spend some $

But consider that you may not like the instruments in Cubase/Ableton,
so you would buy some synth from U-He or N.I.,
and that will mean when you paid for the all-in-one package, a part of it was wasting money...

depends what you want to make.

if you want to do old school, recording some tracks apply some effects i would recommend cubase.

if you are the type of person that like to play some one-click pre-recorded samples via a hardware controller i would recommend ableton live.

if you want to go top notch with the hype creating wicked modulations instantly in a sophisticated way, dubstep on the go hype, yet another club banger i would recommend fl studio.

but that is up to u.

I have tried various demo's and whatnot, and IMO the included instruments with the programs I have tried are good, but not as good as 3rd party stuff. That being said, you should be able to at least get started with the stuff, and there is a huge selection of free/cheap instruments out there. Keep your eye on the bargain center: for example I got rhino FM synth for no brainer price of $20 (including 3 expansion banks), prominy elec guitar samples for $20 (usual retail of ~150 or 200). You get the picture.
