Just downloaded the new SequenceApp, I have not tried it yet but I watched the video and it looks interesting. It's free for a limited time.

Seems like it was free only yesterday, it's back to $2.99 today.

Yes, if you press the square with the pattern numbers of any pattern, it opens the setting for this pattern. On this screen, press the Output Settings box and you can change the MIDI for each pattern there. The box over it has the name of the sample assigned by default but if you press on it you can choose the option no sound if you want too.gdog wrote:This is a great little app! Has anyone got it to send different midi channels to bs-16i?..
All the best <3
The only problem is that the Sequence App does not play when it does not have the focus. So if you switch to the bs-16i to change its settings, the patterns stop playing.

On the other hand it does seem to send midi clock or start.
So for example you can set loopy in rec pause mode in audiobus, switch back to sequence and press play and loopy will start to record

I must be missing something tho - in SeqApp I've turned midi on, set the 8 patterns to midi ch 1-8 (& turned off their default sounds). In bs-16i I've turned background & virtual midi, also I've only loaded 2 instruments into ch1-2 for easy testing. Now when I go back to SeqApp only the first pattern plays (ch.1). I've been unable to get bs16i to receive both ch.1&2. I'm probably missing something, but it only seems to work on midi ch.1 or omni mode for me..
Thanks for reading <3

Couple of observations, the first 8 midi channels in bs16i would be 0 to 7 in sequence.gdog wrote:Thanks for the reply zvon <3zvon wrote:Yes, if you press the square with the pattern numbers of any pattern, it opens the setting for this pattern. Second in bs16i did you go to the mixer and unmute channel 3 to 8 ?
Lastly and pure nosiness from me why do you want eight different channels of only one note per channel ?

Thanks for the reply Bianca <3
Yes that was it! I didn't realise that SeqApp uses 0-15 to mean midi ch.s 1-16. So simply subtracting 1 from outputs of the 8 patterns made it work
I always assumed midi ch.0=omni mode, so I didn't even think to check it - D'Oh!
As for only one note per ch. - I can still make some nice bass/lead rhythms with just one note, also, I like doin stuffs just for the heck of it
Thanks again, & all the best <3
