Wopelka wrote:t-willy, for the sake of dialup users, you should remove these big pics from the forum page. Just give us a link, like this and that...

BTW: i like your entry very much
right - since it seemed to be riling people ive edited t-willy post (sorry mate ... )

and a general note to people - most graphics editors DO have a 'scale' or 'resize' command - stop being so bloody lazy its only 3 or 4 mouse clicks !!!

slainte  rob
no problem rob, can't win either way. some would have bitched if i posted a link to the jpeg instead of the jpeg itself. its a lose lose situation. learned my lesson though. thanks for taking care of that for me btw. :D

Wasn't that clear. Apart from that, a tracklist would've been sufficient. As said, in almost all editors a few clicks ("select", "trim", "save as" for example) would've been doing the job just fine.
what are you talking about??
Once upon a time, there was a thread about how huge contest entries should be. It was more or less clearly stated that modem users should be able to a) participate and b) download all entries as well.
That's why the length limit back then was 45 seconds, later on it changed to 2MB max.
Now, in some contest I got no votes from some people because I exceeded the time limit by 2-3 seconds (just for the benefits of having a properly ringing out chord).
Let's assume that almost all contest participants will read the gossip forum as well - just those 300kb that they have to load each time they enter the gossip thread (in order to see your pics) would've been WAY more than enough to allow for larger submitted song files...
point was to show which synths and effects i used, methods are my own.
You would've better been off describing what you did with them. Otherwise, as said, a plain tracklist would've been sufficient.
hope you didn't read the "Hell I'm Posting" thread then......
Fortunately I didn't´.
at least i can maybe do something right
I never doubtet that.

Sasha, check your PM :D

Note to everyone else: no big battle going on here, just good, friendly discussion I decided didn't need to keep going on in the contest gossip thread.....

my reviews for the current entries will be up soon........ :)

SecondSkin wrote:T-Willy -- Wow, does that track take off in a new direction after the intro!!!! Cool! Great stuff, it really needs to be longer than the 2 min for the contest.

Would you consider that to be Tenesse Trance? Based on the speed I'm guessing that the cookies were working better than the beer...
hey second skin, thanks alot :D i'm usually doing more hard rock/metal stuff, this was a totally different direction for me. oh, and i have on idea what type of music it is. Tenneesee Trance is a bit north for me, i'm more to the south - maybe bayou techno   :help:

yeah, too bad the contest entry limit is only 2 minutes, i could have made this tune longer. thanks again.

why?ill whoop your ass in that one with my napalm death cover  im gonna do you suffer-possibly the heaviest track EVER!

You do that vurt. And I will focus on wring a heavy metl song. You know, one with lyrics you can actually understand. Hehe, "OOoog booog boooga blaaaaaH" may win over certain pre-pubescent boys but heavy metal noise may not win the day against a heavy metal song.

So um, i accept your challenge. My Mockingbird is itchin for a scratch,

oooooooo, just caught wind of this metal songy talky talk. if next month comp doesn't swing the way of the metal theme, i'm all for some friendly competition........muuuuahahahahaha

Hola!

I never meant to start any sort of flame stuff with t-willy (hopefully he's been reading my PM as well).

It's just not that long ago that I've been a (not even flatrated) modem user by myself as well. And as such, everything getiing into the "straight" was annoying.

Regards,
Sascha
