It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

I really like resistent's idea of an gui-contest with user poll!
RefinedRough's sketch is really great, though I would personally prefer a GUI that is a bit closer to the original unit, maybe a mix between BA Tech's and RefinedRough's ideas?
What does the developer lkjb think?
Great stuff, KVR forum makes it possible!

I like the original GUI best-it's simple, elegant and functional with no visual 'noise'. Individual taste being so individual I don't much like the idea of a reductive GUI contest. If hosting-resources allow it, perhaps LKJB could leave his favourite skins downloadable and we can all enjoy our preferred look? i'll keep the colors this way and think there is nothing wrong about, although not everyone has this opinion. you can't be everybodys darling.
the next days i'll check out the "knobman" program. so far I've made the buttons by hand what looks like this:

I frracking LOVE THIS ONE!
Yes, it is colorful and somewhat gently in your face but somehow... it just one of those designs where it all fits together in harmony and reason.

The chicken beaks on that one look like they're sticking out about an extra half inch of DIY pot shaft. Anyway, I still like the original. Please don't scare off the developer. At least maybe we could have a separate thread for the GUI free-for-all, and maybe one about the actual EQ. RIP and all, but this is rapidly turning into a quasi-DNR-fest.

It would look a lot more pleasing and refined if the knobs were all yellow. We dont need multi colored knobs, have you seen much hardware like this? Not me...
Other than that it is very nice.
