The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I thought that was a very clever bit of lateral thinking; body not deep enough for a jack so mount the jack on the body.Hink wrote:I love the upside down strat jacks Gary
Love your baritone by the way, gorgeous.

What a beautiful guitar Hink!! I love the wiring. It should be a crime not having all four modes when using P-rails
That body really is something else. It's from warmoth, right? Do you know where the shape has its origin?

Thanx, yes it's the Z body from Warmoth

btw when it come to weight I weighed it last night. It weighs 8.2 lbs, the tele body I replaced weighed exactly 8.2 lbs as well so that's how much weight I shaved off. Also the jb jr is more powerful than the p-rails so if I use it in parallel it's going to over power the other pup, if I split the coils or run it in series it's pretty much even power.

You could swap the JB Jr. for a Vintage Rails, which would look killer between those two P90's.Hink wrote:Also the jb jr is more powerful than the p-rails so if I use it in parallel it's going to over power the other pup, if I split the coils or run it in series it's pretty much even power.

I'll keep that in mind Eric but it's not a problem though...btw I had it backwards, it's in series that it is more powerfulUncle E wrote:You could swap the JB Jr. for a Vintage Rails, which would look killer between those two P90's.Hink wrote:Also the jb jr is more powerful than the p-rails so if I use it in parallel it's going to over power the other pup, if I split the coils or run it in series it's pretty much even power.

If i remember it right, p-rails come in two versions, one hotter than the other. Which ones did you take?

That's interesting. Mine are ridiculously hot, I can't get clean tones from them in humbucker mode.Crackbaby wrote:If i remember it right, p-rails come in two versions, one hotter than the other. Which ones did you take?

Is it possible to screw the middle pickup a bit down so it gets farther away from the strings? That should reduce the output a little.
