It took him around thirty years.

Damn, this is really cool. I like hardware synths too but i would not have the patience to build this studio up from scratch, at least not in short time.

I found this about the Studio:

This one is interesting too:

I'm guessing he has many flavors of jam in his cupboard as well :)

1)What the hell is he doing for a living? I mean all that gear has to be DAMN expensive.
2)What does he use it all for? Sound design, soundtracks? Because it looks like he's trying to contact freakin aliens.
3)Does he realise that he is a radical example of GAS gone bad? I mean, does he even use like 30% of that gear at all?

Don't get me wrong, I am really impressed by this monster of a studio and I realise it took A LOT of time and money (years...) to collect all that gear, but man... Am I only one who thinks it is too much?
I'm with you. I've got a handful of hardware instruments and a couple of guitars and I already feel it's somewhat unwieldy. That doesn't look cool to me. That looks nightmarish.

I smell a "Hoarders" music edition in production...

He is already 68 years old. But that's the good thing in music production: You cannot jump on the stage in this age anymore, but you still can collect things and produce good electronic music...there is no age limit, like it is in football...

I have friends with a similar amount of gear, but I've never seen it arranged like the interior of an alien spaceship before. Wow!

Love the aesthetic. I personally love today's technology. Give me a midi keyboard, a PC, interface, software and some real instruments, and I'm good. But I wouldn't mind using my gear while surrounded by HIS gear.

Kind of like when people decorate their offices by lining their shelves with vintage books bought in bulk.

Very cool.

I can see some albums for sale on the website linked by Ingo, but no demo tracks. Anyone got any links where we can listen? Soundcloud?

As for "too much gear". Rubbish. He's built up an incredible collection. The value in dollar terms would be enormous, but that's beside the point. He's obviously got a passion for it, so good on him!!

Peace,
Andy.

That gear collection is outstanding. Not my style for colors on the decor, but the collection would be endless hours of fun. Impressive setup. Looks like a real hardware enthusiasts dream.

If he hasn't been able to get in touch with aliens with what he's got in that room I think we can close the case on that issue - aliens don't exist, simple as that.
