But i don't really know what the emulation names are for. What are the orignial hardwares they are modelled after?

550 = API 550
4k = SSL?
DMG = ?

...
...
DMG is ME!

Yeah, i know, but what is it? This is no emulation? So is it a digital, or whats so special about it?

Oh, it has variable gain-q interaction.

For people guessing models, I'll tell you when you're wrong.

Tried it in latest S1 Pro. Great sound. But there are some problems.

1st - when I open a new instance on another channel (or any channel), it opens the same EQ with same bands I have on, for example 1st channel, like it saves it as default preset, why is that?

2nd - the GUI has ugly grey box around the main EQ gui, that's the same problem with The Glue compressor. Is it on S1 side problem or...?

Congrats on what seems like an awesome product based on a short demo trip. I wish more developers understood the importance of user customizability, especially when it comes to EQ.

Can't afford the plugin right now but this seems like a must-buy to me. Three cheers!

So you'll only tell us if we guess wrong, eh. I'm sure that's just confirmation bias.

DMG mode sounds fabulous I have to say!

Great job Dave!

Here are my guesses (not sure about the others).

DMG = Dave
4kg = SSL 4K G-Series
Ox1-Ox4 = Sony Oxford
110 = Focusrite ISA 110
550 = API 550
88 = Neve 88RS
32 = Harrison 32C
Pultec Boost/Cut = :lol:

And when it comes to LPF/HPF's, I have no clue what the differences between filter types really are. That's just way to EQ nerdy for me.

I think it's based on the impulse length in the DSP settings. That's the difference I noticed between the first and second mastering setting in the setup wizard.

When I switch to FIR mode and pick anything above 16k impulse lenght I get cpu spikes going extremley fast from 10% to 80%. Just goes quickly up and down all the time. Weird. Why it's not steady? When I choose impulse lenght below 16k, my cpu is steady at 4-5%. When in digital mode with 512 compensation, it's steady on 2%.

Dave can't name the emulations just in case it causes legal trouble. I think the DMG one is just Dave's own ideal it's an emulation of the EQ in his brain.
