Hi there,
I'm the developer of TF Looper, a new iOS looping app that is inspired from hardware loopers. This looper has a workflow that is more akin to hardware loopers, unlike the other looping apps.
Just promoting, appreciate it if you check it out here.

Here's what Apps4iDevices had to say.
"I really like the simplicity of this app, it makes it very easy to use and get ideas down fast, so I'm going to rate it ... A Killer App!" - Apps4iDevices, Nick Trass

Thanks!
MIDI learn is next after Audiobus
These 2 are the most requested features.

What an excellent looper. I've been looking for something exactly like this to act as an extension of my OP-1. It's unfussy, doesn't rely on arcane gestural controls, and overdubs properly (looping around the endpoint).
Top requests would be:
- Audio Copy/Paste (anything to avoid iTunes! Several excellent apps are ruined by this).
- AudioBus (which is coming! yay!)
- A Panning slider
- Ability to turn off synching of specific loops for nice ambient generative stuff.
- 'Redo' (after an errant Undo performed because you thought it meant 'close help page!')
- The ability to lock how long you want to record for (e.g. pre-determine 4x the base loop). If you're playing an instrument, it's hard to do this and also turn off the recording. It's possible to do this by recording 'blank' but that seems a bit unnatural. You already have a 1x marker, so you could make tapping on that brings up a box automatically pre-setting the loop to a certain length 1,2,4,8,16 or 32 times. Once set, it creates the blank sample for you.
- Greater clarity of when something is recording/overdubbing or not. I know it probably seems obvious, but:
At the moment, the instructions read as if the 'loop' symbol means 'overdubbing', when it doesn't.
In fact the 'stop' symbol means 'overdubbing in progress'. Simply flashing the circle around the icon or displaying 'REC' on the affected channel would help make things clearer for first-time users.
I also find it a bit weird having to click on a black rectangle on a black background in order to make the channel stop/start playing (if your loop is short, this is what you end up doing!). I'd prefer a small 'mute' icon, or just for the area of the audio-display to be coloured slightly different from the background, so it's clearer that this whole area is a click region.
Really happy to support development of this. You're addressing a real need here - a simple, straightforward looper that overdubs properly. Well done!

This is actually a great idea - I'll be sure to add this in. I'm a guitar player so I feel you when you say it's hard to record and hit the buttons at the same time. The other requests will be added in along the way as well.
All noted. I'll look into these UI stuff. Thank you for the generous and excellent feedback. I'm not looking at this app as a touch and go one, but rather one that will grow with user feedback and requests so I welcome all comments.Madrayken wrote: - The ability to lock how long you want to record for (e.g. pre-determine 4x the base loop).
