Hello, All. Congrats on another great month of the OSC!
I've used 2 DAWs: the drums were created in Ableton Live 8 Lite (free), and everything else was completed in Samplitude MS 2013. I had to double check the rules, and it seems there is no an explicit limitation about how many DAWs one may use. Let me give you details on how I've done the track, so you can decide if the entry is valid.
Basically the only reason I've done the drum track in Ableton because I was trying to learn it. I didn't use anything fancy, nothing I wouldn't be able to produce in MS 2013. 4 instances of Tal-U-No-62 (btw, 4 instruments is a limitation of free version), midi programming, Ableton EQ Three (1) + Auto Pan (1). The Drums were rendered into a wave file. Of course - no slicing, reversing, etc.whatsoever at any given time on the drum track. In Magix Samplitude MS 2013 I had to use 6 Studio Units (studio-units dot com) as hosts for 6 Step Machines (Rozzer) and Tal-U-No-62 because, unfortunately, Music Studio does not support advanced midi routing. 10 instances of Tal-U-No-62 were used. = 14 in total for the song.
Other FX: CamelCrusher (2, some fatness), DCAM FreeCompressor (1), JB Ferox (few), JB SEND (1), JB Smash Pro (1), TAL-Tube (1), Gater (few), Minimal System Delay Studio (1), Kjaerhus Master Limiter (1).
Host FX : EQs (few), Distortion (1 on the Drums last 40 sec) , Stereo Enhancer (1), Limiter (1).
Good luck in the contest everyone!

First time I've seen Samplitude being used here I think, but considering its price I'm surprised it forces you to go through hoops with 3rd party plugins just to do routing like that.

Samplitude Music Studio 2013 is rather consumer oriented significantly striped down version of Samplitude Pro X. The price starts from $50.V'ger wrote:First time I've seen Samplitude being used here I think, but considering its price I'm surprised it forces you to go through hoops with 3rd party plugins just to do routing like that.

I just saw on Magix' own site it's €199, but going for 50% at the moment (€99).

Yeah, it's a good deal, especially with $15 discount coupon (sign up for the newsletter). That's how I got it. I used to use Samplitude 7, so it was just a matter of habit. Back in those days Samplitude 7 felt like a cutting edge. Current Music Studio 2013 - not so much.V'ger wrote:I just saw on Magix' own site it's €199, but going for 50% at the moment (€99).

Using Tal Uno LX1.1 to create all the sounds here. About 22 instances of the synth. Made in Live 9 using built in plug-ins, EQ, Compressor, Reverb, Delay, Amp, and Saturation.

here are my submissions and i am posting them here. because i don't know how to share to groups
sorry for the weird post the rules say i can't use other samples or effects
so everything you hear is 100% tal-uno-62 and tal-uno-lx v2
i made these riffs for my submissions throughout march and this is my first
time sending in a submission so i don't know what to do to share in groups
on soundcloud so could someone help
syntheticillusion tracks are the submissions, essential have 30 plugin instances ate my cpu so i exported track three tracks from fl studio with had 4 to five instances and pieced them together inside flstudio but TALUNO62Demo.mp3 is my original submission, i will add more tracks later, it's 10:16 A.M. in welland, niagara, ontario, canada where i live where is it in kvr?? i will going through the flp's and name the instances available on each track like i have been doing, i will then upload my banks for tal-uno-60/tal-uno-62 and tal-uno-lx+v2
i believe professional presets should be available for free but not everything for free is good but when it is time to give my project data which is near 300 MB i will then send it to the webmaster of the contest please contact me at jrmbisson@hotmail.com for a quick reply.

Unofortuna
There are 20 instances of TAL-UNO-LX V2 on this.
For FX it's (naturally) TAL-Reverb-3 and TAL-Dub-3, together with Melda MEqualizer, MCompressor, MLimiter, and Audio Damage RoughRider.
Minimum dynamic range: 9.5
Enjoy. Or not.

Another insane amount of tracks this month dudes.
Stop it, or i will have to make a clone of myself for music stuff only...
Well, although my situation didn't change yet, i can find some free time to make a track time to time.
I will change somethings in the track before posting the last version.
Also, i will post the whole text thing later, now i have to go to. See you later and have a nice day.
