Ok... figured since I couldn't sleep I'd write some reviews... and I actually wrote one for all of'm them that are up as of 30mins ago... heh.. remember... I'm in a strange mood at the moment... so.. heh I sound all weird just don't pay attention to anything I said ;) anyways.. here goes... sorry if it's long... (it's alot of songs to review) oh.. and btw... sorry if I got your name or somthen wrong, I just went off the ID3 tag titles and had to kinda guess on some...

sepheritoh - pleased to meet you
you've got some good stereo imaging going on I think... but I'm not a fan of the genra... the drum "break" somewhere in the middle made me feel like somthen was going to happen... but the thing really never took off... :(

Mystahr - Mud Dancing
Nice sounds... heh... some I find a little irritating.. but most I liked... seemed a little repetative?

AndreasEhrhardt - Chamber
hmmm... well... not a fan of this genra either... the string pads I didn't care to much for... sounds like a beautiful piece... just needs some -real- strings... ;)

Beardedone - Solaz
hmm... well... there's speed involved in this one ;) really good drum programming by the way...

donkeyt - wrong
Very nice... the intro bass like and synth pad sound almost exactly like some NIN song... can't remember which one tho... def going to be one of my top five votes :) btw... what did you use for that synth at the begining?

fitch - cell
I've heard your stuff before.. haven't heard one yet I don't like... :) love your cello playing on here... towards the end I dunno if you ment to make it sound like this or not... but you seem to get higher on the cello and you get alot quiter... that was the only thing I didn't like.. heh... but definately a very good song... anouther top 5 here too ;)

Ixox
Not really my style on this one either... I liked the string instruments in the right channel tho... ;)

Liqih - Orazione Danzante
hah, this is kinda cool... kinda like some weird polka... mmm... didn't like a couple chords that were played somewhere in there tho... didn't quite sound right... but some of that stuff is like that so... oh well...

Thomas Christensen - Odd
definately odd here... sounds like somthing you'd see aliens in a movie jamming to... heheh... good imaging in this one 2...

michael norrell - miss phat bootey
hmm... I'm definately not a rap fan much at all... so, anyways... your mix sounds really professional, I'm kinda amazed... good breaks... good imaging... don't like the thing that starts going on around 1:16... but it's only taste... pretty good tho...

Khepira - Pyramid K
very cool guitar editing/effecting going on here... cool stuff!

Armadilo - A new arrival
reminds me of some aphex twin song... pretty good... some stuff could mayb sound a little better if they sat better with the rest of the instruments/sounds in the song... but actually... I take that back... sounds great the way it is... probley anouther top pick here too... ;)

blitz - starless city
hmm... not my style again... after the song took off it was pretty cool... wasn't much of a fan of the intro.. sorry...

Earthtones - Tiny Grief
hmm... not my style yet again... well... your voice sounds a little muddy... .... kinda reminds me of some mario music in a couple parts... ;)

Emerald Tablet - Witchcraft
Very trippy... like the intro synth sound thing going on... good stuff

Eric bourne - sunk
Very Sci-fi-ish... kinda cool... like the pitch bending organ thing... not a fan of the drum sounds tho... sorry...

Glooper - Distant Love
like all the billions of different guitar things going on here... kinda not my style... but I'm kinda liken this one... takes a little while to grow on ya...

Kajiki -
sorry... can't spell the name... anyways... very nice... kinda classical with a twist to it... good stuff...

Marc JX8P - Remembering
cool intro... like the different drum sounds... could mayb use a different snare?... other than that... I really liked this one... reminds me of some robert miles songs... :)

Patrick9 - Bird
hmm... not a fan of this type of music... sorry... kinda liked the voice a lil... reminded me of some indian chant type thing going on...

Pheeleep - all strings attached
cool vibe... I'm not a rap fan... kinda liked this rap a lil tho... like the synth pads and the strings and everything... good stuff

Sason Le Klee
hah... good times here... great bass work and drum programming to match it... cool low voice there 2... heh.. but anytime I here some kind of funk/disco/jazz thing... I think porn music... heh... but it's cool... good song...

Wopelka - Fly Away
hmm... not a fan of this type of music... like the sound that comes in towards the end...

Tancos - Threnody
spooking type of intro... good sounds... it never took off tho... kinda a shame... would have been cool to hear the flute start jammen to some drums... but that's the way you intended it to be... and it's good that way too ;)

t-willy
your voice sounds like your the brother or somthen to the lead singer from mettalica... cool song... way different that anything I've heard from you... in the break it had a hint of a fear factor song in it... good stuff...

You - Brood X
Very Nice... Very early NIN sounding... good beat... good sound choices... nice breaks... definately a top pick too :) oh.. and btw.. I actually turned 18 as of yesterday... to lazy to update my sig at the moment... heheh ;)

Mr. Tunes - Dub Side of the Tune
hmm... not a fan of this type of music either... but anyways... liked that cool jamacan style snare fill towards the intro... like the drums all together... the bird sound I think I'm hearing sounds good 2... might be part of your synth I think tho.. either way it's cool..

Now... off to bed... have to go car shopping and guitar shopping tommorrow.... some old lady hit my car... totalled it... and I need a classical guitar for college... so... oh well... and the guitar is kinda a late B-day present... ;)... anyways.. I'm kinda tired now.. catch ya l8rs everyone...

hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts about each track. 8) i'm sorry you didn't enjoy my little tune, but i can understand :D this isn't my kind of music either  i've just tried to write something sunnier than usual, with major chords and 6/4 time sig: the main principle: smile around
i didn't work enough on the vocals, they suck big time...

however, will somebody comment my lyrics? it's the first time i write lyrics in English, and that's the main feature of my entry i'd like to hear about (harsh critics as well)...

cheers

why?ill whoop your ass in that one with my napalm death cover  im gonna do you suffer-possibly the heaviest track EVER!

You do that vurt. And I will focus on wring a heavy metl song. You know, one with lyrics you can actually understand. Hehe, "OOoog booog boooga blaaaaaH" may win over certain pre-pubescent boys but heavy metal noise may not win the day against a heavy metal song.

So um, i accept your challenge. My Mockingbird is itchin for a scratch,

OOoog booog boooga blaaaaaH
see you obviously dont listen, the lyrics to "you suffer" are possibly some of the most meaningful, poingnant, heartfelt and deep lyrics ever written.even if the track is only about 1/2 a second long :P

i was originally gonna do stairway to heaven but the 2 min time limit messed that idea up :D

ooh you got a mockingbird,i always liked the explorer shape personally 8) slightly more understated

These are sampled real strings.
But anyhow, thanks for your comments.

Ok, I will say, gee thanks :), and gee maaaan... porn music?!?!
But actually that is your problem :D Theres so much great jazz out there, it's shame you are not able to listen to it ;)

And taking that neither of the songs in the contest is your style, and from the looks of the picture, I presume that you are Van Halen and Satriani fan? Did I guessed?

Thanks for the 'good times' anyway ;)
In the begining was nothing...

Thanks. I like using percussion with a different sound than what you hear usual, it helps me to create more of a rhythmic structure than an actual drum track, but I always end up interspersing it with relatively standard BD and SD to give a more recognizable backbone.

Thanks for your comments Kyle and happy birthday! I don't remember being 18 myself, but I remember a lot of girls that I had crushes on who were the same age as me back then... Now they're all probably out there in the suburban traffic driving minivans to their kids soccer games.

I like your new sig You... very clever...:) ... Though everyone in the office was wondering why I was looking at my monitor upside down!

Thanks Kyle! Though I'm not sure I get the speed reference though. Are you talking drug-related speed? If so, I have no personal experience with compounds of that ilke.

Cheers,
Gordon
