Oh, of course... I had forgotten it was not an independent synth... Thx
Reaktor's preset system sucks though - I prefer to use snapshots still. It's only really of any use if you use the Player version.
I think this could be solved by using Mutools' MUX.
Well there's lots of potential workarounds but it would be better if NI overcame the annoying flaws in the system.

When will the price for Monark be published?

Still no info to see on the NI webpage about that...

Post

I think the Pre-order info said March 27 or 29, but not sure...

Post

€99 is the price. That's pricey for a Reaktor ensemble...

I guess that's why Razor's price always was raised to that level

Post

Oh I bet they think they are soo smart.

but that doesn't make sense....if monark truly is 'the synth to rule them all' it would make sense that it was more expensive

B-b-but that's just a marketing exaggeration, to be seen on any product, you name it.

Apart from that, even if it wasn't, that doesn't necessarily mean that it would come pricey. :) Look at z3ta or Synthmaster. Not exactly expensive, considering what you can do with it.

Post

99 bones is pretty high for a reaktor doodad. I'll get mine with komplete.

Post

Too much for a synth I can't even test. I'd be curious about how Monark sounds when pushed to the edge and if there's anything else you could get out of the new filter design than boring old retro synth leads and the stuff you find in the demos. Sorry NI, but I'll hold on to my money.

Post

That reminds me. I bought razor with my komplete coupon voucher (when it was 79 obviously) and I didn't care for it. If I'd have been able to test it first, I'd have known I didn't like it. Point being it's quite a bit of cash for something you can't test.

Post

I expect there will be some intro offer or sale on Monark in not too long.

I got Razor last year at NI half price sale - minus NI voucher = €9,5 :D

Post

I somehow got Razor for either $20 or $40 I think, and I am far less interested in this offering.
I cant imagine that more people are more "excited" by Monarch than they were by Razor, but maybe Im wrong. Either way, a big +1 to NI looking at some intro pricing...

Just a question, since i was stupid enough to jump on the k8 deal and now want B4 and of course Monarch. Do i need to install the whole update (takes a day with remote disc on the retina) or can i choose the B4, Monarch and the stand alone fx alone in a custom installation. In also perplexed about the voucher that i got with k8. Can i use it in a Komplete upgrade? Or else i might just buy the B4 and Monarch upgrade with voucher on their own and skip the fx even if that means putting up some extra €.

Edit: Intro price for monark expected?

Post

I miss 20 pages of this thread, and people are talking about B4 all of a sudden. Did I miss an announcement?

Post

Oh, B4 = BATTERY 4. That was mean. I'm waiting for a good 64 bit Hammond sim.
