Hehe, another one! Don't bother chaps, I've written a new metel riff, its twice as slow and twice as heavy as 'like bastards' :-o :-o

I WILL BE MOST METEL!

:hihi:
twice as slow!! what, 10 bpm  i think this little "metel" comp is going to have to be outside the monthly competition. 2 minutes isn't long enough for me to kick everyone's ass :x :x :x

hey

i will start on my cyberfuckspeedcore tommorow morning ...but first .....DRINKIIIIING :D

You all and your metal!! :x

I have a feeling that this crowd would have a tough time agreeing on what IS metal and what ain't - as evidenced by the broad interpretations of "dub" a while back. I can't succinctly describe what makes metal "metal" but I know it when I hear it. One thing for sure, I don't have the right pants to play proper metal - and I wouldn't look good in 'em even if I did...

They seem to be having a hard enough time in spelling it let alone defining it

Nice MacGIFfing over in the Chav thread Mr. Tugg. Is there some awful ad campaign over there about lunch ladies? Over here they just started Adult Happy Meals. Unfortunately they don't mean "adult" as in adult movies or adult bookstore. :(

..Else I might be tempted to get one just to see what MacToy it came with!!! :hihi:

Metel, metal, mettle, whatever...

Nah, not one of mine, it was on the front page at www.b3ta.com

They've got some ad campaign on at the moment trying to infer that they've gone more upmarket...

Reviews so far:

1. donks – wrong – nice bass and synth work at the beginning. Nice place for those piano hits too. Liked the layed back drum track. Guitars were mixed very well. Vocals are good as usual.

2. warbug- ms phat booty – nice mixing job here. Usually don’t like sampled voices, but this track turned out well. I liked the variable beats and the distorted bass. Couldn’t understand a word of the rapping part, but didn’t matter.

3. Bl1tz – star city – liked the soft bass at the beginning. Nice panning jobs on the snare hits. Drums had a tight sound. The synth sound was cool and spacey.

4. Thomasc_dk – odd – cool water-drop sounding drum thingies going on. Creepy sounding organ type synth in the background. Liked how you brought it down then back in at 1:15. nice large tom hits in my left ear. Odd – yes, cool – yes.

5. fitch – cell – groovin’ drum beat there. Nothing but beautiful noise coming out of that cello. Background strings only accented that wonderful sound. Loved the octave jump near the end.

6. Eric Bourne – sunk – loved the fade in. harp sound? – its great. I’m thinking movie or adventure game soundtrack here. Liked the pitchblend wheel movement sounding stuff too.

7. Patrick9 – bird on a wing – nice smooth song here. Very airy sounding – but that was the point, nicely done. Did you morph some voices in there somewhere, I swore I heard some.

8. ET – witchcraft – starting off creepy as hell….cool speaking part there too. Added to the song. The singing took me by surprise. It was almost jazzy type singing against a horror movie song theme – I liked it though. Ending was really cool – “its witchcraft, but whichcraft”

9. Earthtones – tiny grief – nice drum programming. Your voice is a bit gruffy sounding in the beginning. I liked it much better when you sang higher. Liked the little synth part panned left too.

10. Wopelka – fly away – you always have such happy little songs. I could totally see you singing this song in a children’s show – that’s not meant to be an insult either. Liked the distorted, almost guitar sounding synth. Vocals weren’t perfect, but that’s what made it cool.

11. Kajiki - Nataliya – very nice piano piece. Is that real piano or a VSTi? Sounded like it was coming out of a radio. Very nice though.

12. Sason – KvR – DAMN OGG -lol, will have to listen when I get home.

13. pheeleep – mando – cool Spanish guitars there. Oh yeah, nice beat. Tupac? I knew he was back – on KvR! Nicely done. Damn I really like those guitars and the strings together over that beat, but you dropped them out at the end!

14. Glooper – distant love – really liked the acoustic guitar sound and the clean guitar sound, but the distorted sound wasn’t my favorite. Very jammin’ feel to this song though. Nice little solo there! Cool vocals too.

15. Tancos- Threnody – ohh, cool flute. Would love to hear that flute over a cool beat, although I like the simplicity here. Seems this would be perfect in an oriental film or the like.

16. Sep – pleased to meet you – a lot different elements going on here. Its as if this song has a beat, but doesn’t. well done in that respect. Organized chaos I say!

17. Armadillo – a new arrival – very nice drum track here – like the fast fills and rolls. Lotta distorted synths and sounds happening in this one. Like the breakdown after 1:00. really like the jammin’ part at 1:24, smooth bass there.

18. liqih - Orazione Danzante – this sounds like something straight from a video game I’ve played – Monkey Island. I loved this game too, so this is a compliment. I really like it after the 1 minute mark, it really builds up.

19. Ixox – those days – I wasn’t really liking the song, but then it kicked in at 48 seconds and I love it. Your voice is very nice. Nice piano and cello sounds. I can’t really say I like the rocking chair sound, but I like the idea.

20. Mystahr – mud dancing – very tribal sounding. The song is very “dirty” too in a sound sense. Perfect title and I think you achieved the emotion here perfectly. Well done catching the sound and emotion here.

21. Marc JX8P- remembering – what is that sound at 35 seconds – I really love it. Liked the industrial sounds too – like beating metal. Really cool atmosphere in this song. Kinda spacey, metallic, with a cool beat, very nice.

22. Beardedone - solaz – you’ve got to be kidding me. Just when I think you can’t go any further with your drumming you pull this. You are the jazz drum programming master – hands down. Shit, you’re the jazz master – hands down. Nuff said.

23. Khepira – PyramidK – sampled guitar? Freaky cool vocal thing going on there. Very strange collage of sounds going on. But nice blending of a bunch of different elements at once. Dammit those vocals are crazy! – lol

24. Andreas – chamber – nice violins and is that a harp? This is a nice classical piece. Now throw some heavy guitars in and you have a hit – lol. Oh, like the part at 1 minute. Like how the violins play fast then hold out a long note – really nice.

25. t-willy – far away – well………………………….

26. guitarcomputer – shove me into – really cool intro. Very nice as usual. Love the chorus – Shove me………. I also like when you go high with your voice. Guitars are kick ass and nice drum track. Top tune kyle.

27. You™ - Brood X – love the offbeat hi-hat. Man those vocals sound like someone or some band but can’t place it right now. Very cool song. Excellent synth work. Kinda Beckish I think, but a little more evil.

28. Mr. Tunes – dub side of the tune – damn if this isn’t some chillin’ music. I think I’m heading down to the lounge, no no, tiki bar and kick it……………….is that a xylophone? Damn smooth tune here. Piss poor shame I’m at work.

Oooooh - dirty dancing would have been an even better title 8)

I felt rebellious and edgy and I think the first take was the right one. Thanks travis..

PS Thanks to guitarcomputer too. Yeah I know repetitive :(
