Since you're here, what's Roland's relationship with this product's development? Just curious..

Here's my vote that Cakewalk considers establishing a support forum here on KVR in addition to your own forum. I think it would be a smart move, regardless of the extra work.

I don't know...this thing looks pretty cool. I own SONAR 3 PE, and if I can get some of the Roland kits for $79 and ReWire it into SONAR, I am thinking thats not a bad deal.

No Kinetic is a closed application. You get the Roland Groove Synths and PSYN, but you cannot plug-in additional DXi or VST synths.

Yes PSYN will run as a DXi in other DXi host apps.

yes, that's what I wanted to know - thanks

- not that I want to sound greedy, but what's with the other (two?

) softsynths and the effects, are they dx/dxi as well?

what i'm worried about is that on the screenshot the cpu meter shows 65% while it obviously isn't playing.
another thing is that it looks like it doesn't load any wav's or sf2.

Kinetic does not sample. You can import ACID-format loops and assign them to any of the 16 channels in Kinetic

Roland sees the future. Kinetic is the first Cakewalk prodct offering that was a result of the Cakewalk Roland Alliance that was announced last year.
