I have a CD with a couple of .akp AKAI files and a bunch of .wav files. The problem is that Kontakt can't read the .akp files, and I just can't face loading and mapping all those damn single key .wavs one by one. I tried to use Chicken Translator to convert the .akp/.wav to AKAI disk, but it stopped mid-process with a message that this function is not yet utilized.

Is there another sampler that reads .akp programs that are not in AKAI disk format, or an utility to convert the .akp/.wav to AKAI?

Orion Platinum's sampler reads those just fine.

Extreme Sample Converter and VSampler both claim to do so. I have both, although I don't have any AKP samples to test with. I have used both successfully with other formats.
