No sir.
I was a Rhino licencee last year when I was using Reaper and everything was fine. Then, I sold my licence and got interested in Rhino again when you had your 35 euros sale. I installed the demo (downloaded from your website) and noticed all the problems I mentioned (and that's why I didn't buy it again).
I guess it should be possible for you to get your hands on a demo version of S1 and see for yourself.

I see the same behaviour here in S1. I think it is because S1 detects any ProcessReplacing() peaks instead of averaging like most other hosts do. Up to a certain extent Cubase LE 4 show the same behaviour.
After all, any ProcessReplacing() time which peaks over 100% can cause a crackling sound in the recording.

I don't understand why the cpu would go to 40% - 60% when not playing or doing anything. I know about the peaks, they've been there for ages and are a PITA to fix (otherwise I would have done it already). I'm got some idea, though, that I want to try. I need to release a Rhino update anyway for Zen compatibility.

Thank you for the skin! I was going to ask Mr. Big Tick for the senior citizen's interface because of the trouble I had reading things! Your skin cleaned it up like new glasses!! :hihi:

Now if someone could tell me how to beat ASIO4All into submission in the Rhino Stanalone version -- no sound on ASIO but extreme laggy sound on DirectSound... :(

Post

my advice - don't bother so much with the standalone. I never intended to release it anyway (it was just a way to speed up my tests). If you need a standalone, using savihost.

Skin updated. It feels much slicker now.
Have a look at the OP for more details and a link.
:)
Please report any bugs if you find some.

Someone pointed to me that the link was dead.
I must have deleted the file by mistake.
Anyway, the link is working again and the screenshot is fixed too.
