Logic is long gone for me.
I write arrange in live 9 and mix in pro tools 9

TheoM wrote:Well topaz then honestly every retailer by that logic who sells nomad should be accountable? I understand they know them maybe a bit better than some but it could be that the problems you and I have are isolated, i don't see alot of reports about them.. (well not for my logic one anyway).
Personally i am thrilled they are off my system, i was actually not understanding why logic was crashing all the time, i started thinking logic was unstable and buggy, and was regretting losing the stability of reason, now the nomad are gone and not one single crash since i sold them here months back. logic is purring like a dream. Nomad don't make anything "irreplaceable" so my advice is to just sell them all, and not buy that brand again, and chalk it up to a bad experience.
What makes you think that if there is a pro tools bug with the plug n mix it won't be fixed?
They are new aax so might have some teething issues, i am sure they will fix it.
On another note i can't believe you've left logic!

Er, found a bug. win7x64 studio (latest version) the amp sims won't work on mono tracks. Easy workaround is stereo track with input set to mono (which is better anyways) but still. Time to report a bug me thinks (prolly never fix it)
I have already reported your message here to our developers.
If you find any other weird things and you have the time to give us all the details please post it here as the developers see it directly:

Thanks, it really helps.

I have analoger, it suffers from the flashing GUI bug in Pro Tools 9 Mac.
Let's see if there is ever a fix then I may change my mind.

TheoM wrote:why has it been said a couple of times in this topic already that a bug has been found and p&m will "probably never fix it"?
I am just curious as to where this impression has come from (topaz my friend, and hibidy my friend, both great guys so i am NOT having a go at them, just curious).
I seem to think they take the reports seriously and are compiling them ( i sent a logic one of my own regarding validation in) to roll out say a 3.05 or a 3.1 with everything on the list fixed. Wouldn't that make sense?

When I can be proven wrong, it's a good thing. Thanks for reporting!Nick Hamilton wrote:Hello hibidy, hibidy wrote:Ooooooooooo! The "clarisonix" is nice!

@theo, because I'm not a positive thinker and I've had more problems I've discovered with software NOT be fixed than actually fixed. I wish it was the other way around but it's not. Like I said, when I can be proven wrong, it's generally a very good thing.

It's not about "them". It's general.
I have no issues with these plugs btw. There is nothing preventing me from drag/dropping american tweed (for example) and setting the input to L and doing it that way. MINOR inconvenience.
Back to opinions on these, I haven't tried automating yet (which you couldn't do with the demos) I need to get on that.

Finally downloaded the full VIP pack and started fooling around. These are some seriously cool plugs.
I've only used a few of the basics so far. I threw the Clarisonix on a choir patch--not quite sure what it does, but it sounds nice.
Is there a thread where people are posting FX chains made from these? I've seen a couple, but it would be nice to have them all in one place.
Cheers

On their site, under FAQ they explicitly state that these are not nomad factory, but ya...TheoM wrote:hey topaz, that is really not their fault.. Nomad's integral bundle was crashing logic every 20 minutes and i couldn't pin down which processor, because it was so random, and i have emailed them about it and still no fix so i was forced to sell it as it WAS indeed unusable for me, sadly.topaz wrote:I will stear clear of these, the last thing I bought from dont crack was the nomad bundle and they haven't been updated since November 2011.
Magnetic 11 crashes ableton live mac Hard. Nomad factory know about this and have both failed to fix and failed to respond to any emails, also completely ignored this in any forum threads.
I know this is not nomad factory but the installer layouts are identical to nomad as are the GUI elements so there is some involvement.
But i tested the plug and mix in a row, as in, every single of the 40 in sequence in logic, abused the hell out of them with automation and moving the knobs like crazy, and not one single crash to this day. I have been using them successfully for weeks now. They are an AMAZING set, and for $99, i can only say
Anyway, don't crack do not have ANY control over when Nomad fix nomad plugins. I don't know why you thought that.
Also it has been confirmed a few times that nomad only programmed the installer for the plug and mix, and they are not nomad plugins. I can confirm with reliability. Everything nomad crashed for me consistently on mac as said. Not one problem with these.
I think when something has worked with 20 different instances overall per project, for a period of weeks, without a single crash, that's a good enough sign. Even if there had been one related crash, i'd say something. And you guys know that if something will crash, it usually does happen to me, so take it as solid advice![]()
Will test these in Live 9 now out of curiosity, and make sure they are stable and let you know, since we are both on mac. I am now on 10.8.3 on my laptop though, are you on ML also?

Got the PM Granulizer.
It's useful, but ships with too few presets IMO, only 5, which are qurkily named, not very helpful.
If I was a pro, not a hobbyist, needing to tweak sound fast, I would want some basic preset settings for big pad, big atmosphere etc, that I could either use straight out of the box, or use as template to fine tune sounds.

Clarisonix and Stereolizer are my favourites, very well made.
All in all quite a good package. No bug or any instability found:)
Like many others I like the simplicity for quick results.
