Am I missing something? Monark isn't installed nor is it found in the plugin database.

So goes for Prizm and other reaktor-based instruments. If its part of reaktor, where do I find it?

You have to click PLAYER and then monark is there. NEver used a reaktor player instrument before so..

Sounds pretty phat. Not a huge cpu hit. Only 8%.

If you got installed the full Reaktor it got a tab called "Player" too.

The commercial Reaktor ensembles seem to be displayed there.

Yeah it's not bad, nice filter resonance and feedback/overload options.

After 10 or something years, NI finally has a decent filter...

But honestly, it didn't really floor me, with synths like minimonsta being out for ages.

I don't know with K9, but you can pull it up and then select 'Save As Ensemble', and it will save it as a regular Reaktor file (at least I was able to do this with Razor) The only difference I see is a different file extension.

Considering how much cpu it needs, as well as the fact that it's based on recent developments in dsp, I doubt it would have been possible before now.

Considering how much cpu it needs, as well as the fact that it's based on recent developments in dsp, I doubt it would have been possible before now.

I don't think CPU use forcefully equates to sonic qualities, especially not since its running in Reaktor and not a stand-alone plug.

It sounds decent to me, and as I mentioned, cooler resonance/feedback than minimontsa (but minimonsta has its pluses as well, great sound, and much more programing features)

As for "revolutionary DSP code", says who? Native Instruments marketing division?

They have the worlds most popular sampling engine, but still don't have a decent filter for it...

Ask the people that use(d) EMU's and Fairchilds, how much difference a good filter makes for a sampler, its almost half the sound.

Maybe we'll see Monarks filter in Kontakt, that would be the day!

p.s. Circuit modeling has been around for years... e.g. waves ssl, dcam synthsquad, nothing new there... new to native maybe (maybe they got some help from softube?)

I'm still confused as to how to save changes to a patch.

How do I save my own presets? I made some changes and I overwrote the preset. Don't know if it got saved with the ensemble.

at the top left next to the magnifying icon there's a little arrow pointing down which hides a menu....in that menu u will find "save preset"

btw u may wanna change the title of the thread to "about monark" or something similar

just bought it myself and i'm loving it

Circuit modeling does not equate to zero feedback delay filters.

in a sense it does cos circuits traNsmit their information almost instantly ..in a delayless way. the out-in transmission (feedback) is instantaneous in circuits.
so anyone to be claiming circuit modelling should be working in the nanoseconds and not in the 1 sample territory which does not apply in any way to circuit behaviour.

so those who are doing circuit modelling without zero delay feedback are the ones using empty marketing words.
