I don't get it, what is an intro price for a £40 plugin?

Use the demo and pay if you like it.
there are intro prices on $10 preset packs, no reason there could not be one too.
+ 1

I just bought an active studio monitor speakers, my son will have birthday tomorrow, I spent lot of money this week so don't have enough money for it (+ VAT). I tried it, it's great!!! Easier on CPU than v1. Will buy it later, it seems...

Seems like you can have FX overlap (which is a HUGE update). For me, not a no brainer purchase ($69.95 is still $69.95 I didn't budget for XD), but I LOVE Glitch1, so I'm definitely gonna pick it up at some point.

I'm surprised he still had time next to Renoise. Where's 3.0 ?! :x

The good thing with no intro pricing is you can come back and get it in July and not have lost an opportunity to get it cheaper. €50 is a fair price, Effectrix is twice that. Who needs intro pricing on fair?

When Effectrix is at almost constant discounts, i think Glitch is a bit late to the party. Nonetheless, price is basically good, and interface nice and clean.

Guys i don't get it, where are the similarities to Effectrix? Just kidding, this looks like a total rip off. Anybody able to compare the both of them? I have a feeling the german product will win this hands down.
Finally!

The Sugarbitches would win...

Effectrix has far more features than Glitch. But Glitch could be the "low price" alternative to Effectrix. (If Sugarbytes doesn't make No-Brainer sales any more...)

Effectrix is from 2008 - dBlue Glitch was around in 2005 and was made even earlier. So... :D

And to be honest I've tried Effectrix - but was unable to find the fun I had with Glitch. But it's personal of course - some will like Effectrix better, some Glitch.

I know you are probably just half-joking here, but you might want to check your history a bit. People here said the exact same thing about Effectrix when it was first released in early 2008, and looked extremely similar to Glitch 1 which was released in late 2005.

But this is a totally silly argument to make in the first place. I don't believe anyone is ripping off anyone here, we just have similar styles. Nobody has a sole rights to a graphical style with dark backgrounds and bright rainbow coloured highlights, just like nobody has a sole rights to a basic sequencer grid.

I said it back when Effectrix was released, and I'll say it again now: I don't give a shit that they looked a bit like my plugin, or were inspired by it, whether it was done on purpose, or simply happened subconsciously, or whatever. The market is big enough for everyone to do their thing. Hopefully they don't give a shit that Glitch 2 is now looking a bit more like Effectrix, simply because it keeps the same colourful style it always had, but now happens to also have a multi-effect sequencer. Let's not be so petty here.

Try each product and see what you like. Simple as that. This is not war, this is just a few coders trying to share some fun stuff with you :)

I seem to recall using a command-line version of Glitch as early as 2003!

64 bit, Mac compatibility, support, future updates, a wage for the creator?

The manual will be uploaded soon. Probably tomorrow. But the plugin is really not that difficult to use in the first place. Every button/knob/etc. has tool tips that explain what it does, so it should only take you a few moments of clicking around on some stuff to get the hang of the basics.

Presets are not yet included, mainly because this thing tends to sound very different on whatever you feed into it. I could create a cool pattern with a certain drum loop or something, where the effects are hitting on small percussive noises that sound cool for me, but then it will sound totally different when you feed your own loops into it. For this reason, it was a bit tricky to come up with some meaningful presets.

Really.. just hit the randomize buttons a few times. It only takes a moment to get some crazy sounds out of this thing :)

Phew... we're not used to this kind of level-headedness on KVR! :hihi:

Congratulations on the release, I'll check it out now. Quite curious, and hoping it'll add some different flavours.
