don't really care bout the touch stuff, more interested in threading superiority. You should care for 64 bit if you use large libraries. I only have a couple, and I max out too much. When I get a new PC I'm going to f**king stab my mobo with 32 gigs of RAM and never look back.
That happens the day 64 bit is out.

IIRC W7 should do it too, Reaper had it on the W7.hibidy wrote:I'm not up on the whole multi touch thing, but wouldn't 8 be necessary? Or does 7 have that functionality?
I had W8, got back to W7 it saves a lot of mouse miles and clicks at the end of the day.

Cool, that's TWO things I didn't know that I do now.
For me, native x64 is a must. I've had my FL license forever but when I tried the 32 bit version last year with the x64 wrapper, it just didn't jive. A couple of crashes, high cpu use, I'll wait for native to try it again
@not caring about x64: I understand, but before I went x64 whatever host I was using would bottleneck and crash with certain kontakt libraries, trillian, superior drummer. I've had this system for 3 years now and even with just 8GB of ram, NOT an issue. I was one of those that waited through years of plugs not being native. I'd like to think my constant griping help get a couple motivated
Anyways, thanks for letting me state my case!

Note that when I started the multitouch stuff, I naively thought that M$ would enhance (& I mean fix) the existing Win7 SDK in Win8. But no, they started over.. so I'll probably have to rewrite it (but then it won't work on Win7 anymore)
As for FL 64bit, it's already released as a beta, it will stay in beta for quite some time, until all of the bugs have been reported.

haven't been following the stream of betas, but I thought there were folder tracks incoming for playlist? but I don't see them on the list. was I just imagining things?
this is my #1 issue with fl studio so far, it can get real messy. folders would go a long way towards sorting that out.
