I'd love to get some feedback on what you like so I can make the proper adjustments...
I can imagine -- it's a pretty complex set of features to represent. The nested tabs and wasted space are the two primary problems I see.

I'd drop the amount of empty space between panels and elements and try to get the tone and the two noise control sets on 3 rows.

Also, is there any reason the effects controls are in an effects tab at the bottom? Doesn't seem worth it for a dropdown and a knob -- I'd have thought the patch section would make as much sense and work just as well. You've got room to expand in the future there though, I guess.

Interface aside, I think this is really great where it counts most -- the sound is fantastic. I was comparing it to Drumatic 3 yesterday, which I love and still use a lot, and the sound of 4 is really a step up.

+1 on this.

For a single knob it doesn't need a separate section.

Thanks all! I've removed some of the 'extra space' just as a quick test.
I will rethink the whole GUI in future betas!

Consider this a raised hand for OSX support.
Ditto.

I used to rely on them extensively as well. And it may never happen, but I'd grab them in a wink if they were ported to OSX.

+1, that's a better idea than my previous suggestion re. the 6 columns all on one page.

As excellent as the overall sound quality is, I'd just like to say that I think the cymbal sound section is particularly outstanding - better than anything else I've heard in software land.

i'm havin trouble getting the velocity modulation working on the demo version. is it disabled? or is it user malfunction? also, where is the "keyboard pitch" modulation level?

Hello
A couple of remarks about the GUI :
Image
Too much screenspace wasted with borders (no less than 3 here), and the text is too small ;

Image
I think that the retro + modern knob combo doesn't work very well here.

Image
The text is too long. Why not just "6dB eQ > 6dB LP", or even "6dB eq > LP" ?

Too much screenspace wasted here and there, imho :

I hope it helps,
Cheers

Wow, great intro price, will buy just to support ;)

..tried it. Very impressed. just a couple of dials nets huge changes to the sound. and I think it sounds fabulously cleaner than v3 somehow. Still love the v3 envelope style better, but this is a superb drum synth IMO. So simple. Works great so far

Do you mean the velocity slider that says 'TONE MOD'?
Just checked it and it works like it should.

Hello e-phonic:

In Cubase SX, each drum sound is heard twice. First when you press the key (which is normal) and a second time when you release the key. A bug?

Could be, what version of SX are we talking about?
