Does the futuremusic guy really know his stuff ? How can you possibly demo the Volca Bass and not try the Peak/Cutoff Knobs lol

Yes the bass has the vintage 12db Korg mini 700 filter, check the sonicstate video.
I checked it out again, and you're right, that guy says it's the 700 filter. but then the other rep says it's the ms20.

Which rep to believe ?

specs on the website only mention that it's 12db, which definitely applies to the ms20 lowpass filter and I assume also applies to the 700...

BTW KORG have some set of balls using the silver faceplate for the 303! the beat machine supposedly takes some visual cues from the 808 but I don't see it as much, probably due to the form factor.

Also worth noting the beats machine will definitely need some hacking/modding IMO to make it really worthwhile - I'm referring of course to individual outs for the drum sounds.

Yes it has four bare sides, looks to me as if Korg are inviting the drill.

First thing ill do is replace the output mini jack with a 6.3mm jack been studying the panel i may wreck the headphone graphic lol

excellent. so just how hard do you figure it would be to do an individual-outs modification ?

I might be interested in the Beat. If it had had at least 4 separate rows of step buttons for each analog voice I'd definitely want one.

If its anything like the other Trons the Outs will hopefully be marked on the PCB, so its a simple case of opening the unit then drilling 4 holes in the back of the unit securing the 4 jack sockets to the case then taking 1 wire from each socket to individual drums hopefully marked out on the PCB and soldering them in place .

So to Answer ..... very very very easy indeed :D
