Yep,
threads are great for height adjustment when applied properly. I have used them to make nips and chain tensioners.
In this case though I think they wouldn't be ideal.
You could set the height right, but the slot would most likely end up pointing in the wrong direction,perhaps.
I wonder what I want in here

A one off by O'Donnel custom guitars. displayed at NAMM for a few years from 2008.

1 piece Brazillian mahogany body with a deep carved 22mm canadian maple cap, natural 1/4 sawn rosewood neck, flamed Koa fingerboard, Ebony headstock plate, and knobs, Seymour Duncan JB hotrod set with gold pole pieces, hipshot bridge, double stain, double nitro finish.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.
