You mean like color the last version that's released? (So, like, the Battery 3 cells for K8/K8U would be red or something?)
Yes, that could work. Wouldn't hurt to try and see what people think.

If you want to take it further, you can do GREEN for first appearance, RED for last, with YELLOW in between. And if something was in only one version, make it ORANGE.

great :)

A quick question regarding the Solid Mix Series... you are showing the 'Solid series' as DP for Komplete 8 Ultimate, is this correct? I have K8U and only have those in GR5, did I miss it?

I have the 'Vintage' plugins they finally broke out of GR, would like to have the Solid stuff too, if available.

Yes, Solid Mix Series is now available as standalone plugins only.

Post

Yeah, you should have gotten a link to a free upgrade if you had K8U

Thanks guys, I guess I better go beat on NI for a minute.

Thanks again.

Took a look at the sheet recently. Realized I should have been clearer that it would be better to color the cell background (not the text) then you will have solid blocks of color and it would be easier to spot changes in product. So leave the text black. Hope its not too much work. I could help do it too, since I did a bunch of that kinda stuff at work previously.

PM if you want help.

...also interesting to see how the price for Komplete has evolved over the years

2: $1149 / €999
3: $1499 / €1299
4: $1499 / €1299
5: $1149 / €999
6: $559 / €499
7: $559 / €499
8: $559 / €499
9: $559 / €499

From 5 to 6 the price was more or less cut in half, it's not many products that offers more content for less money :o

Would you happen to still have that? I cannot find anything that lists the exact products and versions included in that initial bundle.

Also, would like to know the most recent release date (if even the year) of the products in there. (I'm guessing 2003, but not sure.)

Thanks!
I've only just seen this question. I have no idea when I bought it and unfortunately the current NI site only shows order history from September 2011, so I can't find it there.

I do have the discs, and they are as follows:

B4 v1.0 plus B4 tonewheel set
Reaktor 4
Pro 53 v3.0
FM7 v1.0
Traktor DJ Studio 2.0
Spektral Delay v1.1
Vokator
Battery 1.0 plus drum kit library disc
Kontakt 1.0 plus 6 disc library
Absynth 1.0 - I also have an Absynth 2 update disc, which I believe shipped a little later, but may have been part of the deal.

The discs are all labeled with a copyright date of 2003.

Thanks, brother. That info nearly makes my list "Komplete."

Just updated it with those products and added bioroid's suggestion about the cell backgrounds.

With the "Group" code customers at JRR shop can get 15% off (almost $75) bringing the price of Komplete 9 down to $424.15 in the basket :-o

Shipping (and VAT) to my part of the globe would be a killer though :(

Actually, what happened is that NI went "Kompletely Insane" and clearanced K5 for $399. This is when I jumped in (and probably many other users), and it probably did several things for NI:

1) Caused users to no longer accept the former higher price for Komplete.
2) The resulting sales caused NI to realize that there's money to be made in bundling, and furthermore, residual sales by yearly 'upgrades'.
3) Such "Komplete" bundling, even though it may result in less individual package sales, may have the overall effect of making the customer more 'sticky', making them less likely to consider a competitor product.

What do I mean by the last point? Let's say you want Kontakt and Battery, it seems to make more sense that you consider purchasing Komplete instead of the individual packages. Then, let's say later you need to have a string ensemble for film. You could consider purchasing another competitive product, but you just remembered that the Komplete package you bought has Session Strings, and they will fill the bill. I've often caught myself saying, "Hey, that new synth looks pretty cool, but I'm not using a similar one in K8U, and I shoud really try to use that first.".
