I re-rendered the audio demos using the updated patches now.
In those demos that sound a bit "noisy" this should be part of the sounds and no clipping problem.

This is an updated procedure of how to make a polyphonic version of Monark (many thanks to KVR member fluxmind for finding this out and posting it):
1. Enable editing mode, Go to "Panel/Monark/Monark", disconnect from "Volt" cell PK, GT
2. Create "Note Pitch" and "Gate" and connect "Note Pitch" to PK and Gate to GT
3. Go into the "Function" tab of the "Gate" module (right-click and "Properties") and set "Upper Limit (MIDI) to 1 (instead of 127).
4. Still at the same place disconnect "Volt" cell from "Out 1", create "Out Port" and "Audio Voice Combiner" and Connect "Audio Voice Combiner" output to Out 1 and Out 2 and then Connect "Volt" cell output to Audio Voice Combiner input
5. Now go to "Panel/Monark" disconnect Out 2 and connect that Out 2 to Second free Out
6. Go back to "Panel/Monark/Monark" and disable "Mono" in "Volt" cells properties
7. Go to back to "panel" click on Monark name and in Properties page enable as many voices as you want (or how many your CPU could handle...)
8. Go to file and save ensemble as Monark Poly, because I don't now how to make a switch for mono/poly yet, so you will have 2 versions, one normal monophonic and one Polyphonic
A few features like e.g. page B settings don't seem to be available now.
Here are two screenshots showing the modifications:

-------------------------------------------
UPDATE:
I just found a way to use both the Modwheel and Aftertouch for the modulation amount.
Here is a screenshot of the modification:

procedure:
1.) Open Monark -> Monark and then open the big module at the left side (no name). You should be able to identify that part from the screenshot then.
in the screenshot i marked all important parts red.
2.) add an Ch. Aftertouch module (from Built-in module -> MIDI-IN)
3.) add a "Merge" module (from Built-in module -> Event Processing)
4.) Open the "Properties" page of the Merge module (with the right-click menu) and change "min. Num Ports" to 2 to get two inputs.
5.) connect the "Modwheel" module to one input of the Merge module and the aftertouch module to the other input. Then connect the output of the Merge module to the "MW" module (like shown in the screenshot)
Now you should be able to use both the MW or Aftertouch for the modulation amount.
Instead of the "Merge" module you could also try "Math" operators like eg "Multiply". in that case you could use Aftertouch for modulation and use the MW for adjusting the maximum modulation amount.

You're welcome.carrieres wrote:nice tips Ingo !

It's not all found by myself like e.g. the poly modification. I just added the additions and corrections that were made later by fluxmind into his original step by step procedure.
Opposing to his first opinion i think this could be really useful but not for all sounds. Also in other synths not all sounds that were designed for mono use are usuable for polyphonic sounds. This also includes any Bass sounds.
About aftertouch i guess someone mentioned a basic idea somewhere but i found a procedure how it really seems to work. Of course adding aftertouch could be also used with the monophonic ensemble and even seems to make more sense there (e.g. for adding vibrato).
I will also try to add a knob for adjusting the aftertouch mod amount and maybe the same for the MW too.
With purchasing Monark i more or less started doing a little "programming" (or just a little tweaking...) with Reaktor. I hope i could add afew more modifications like e.g. adding a step sequencer. I also have external step sequencer plugins but it would be fun to have it included.
UPDATE:
I just added a fader to control the maximum aftertouch amount (this involves using a multiplier module ; the multiplier has to be set to "Mono"):

UPDATE:
One problem with this modification is that the Modwheel amount does not seem to be saved with the snapshot. When reloading the patch the Mod amount is 0.
This problem does not appear when using the older version of the modification without the slider so the problem could be based on the Multiplier module.
UPDATE:
Looks like i solved the problem using a more complex modification that include a Seperator module and a Multiply/Add module:

This way both the Modwheel setting could be saved and you could also use the Modwheel and Aftertouch at the same time to add more modulation if necessary.
I'll try to create a Macro from this to make it easier to use.

Cool thanks - I had already added AT using an IC module but this has more control - however I have modified it by merging it with the PB output as I prefer to map AT to pitch for making bends and vibrato while playing. Now I just need to add some better vel support, not interested in poly, I like it mono but would like more expression control.Ingonator wrote:I just created a Macro of the modules used in the last screenshot:Ingonator wrote: UPDATE:

Now the editor view looks like this:
This adds an additional slider to the GUI (this has to be moved to the desired position manually):

Wish I could have been at the Messe to see you and visit the Avid booth and the Yamaha area to see some friends, Ingo.

Hi,
i was again asked by PM if it is possible to route external audio through the Monark ensemble.
It does to seem to work with the original ensemble, also when used with the Reaktor FX version.
My guess is that an audio input has to be added/routed to the filter module.
as i finished my Monark patches (including demos + A/b comparisons) and also found modifications for polyphony (that one found by another KVR member) and aftertouch this could be one of the next modifications to have a look at.
If someone has a solution he/she is free to post it here.
