Session view and arrange view on the same page. Dragging and dropping clips from one to the other is easier and then triggering clips into an arrangement that already has clips is easier. Discuss yo.

Yep, most innovative DAW feature yet. I'll bet Ableton follows suite on that one.

You can drag and drop clips from arrange to session and vice versa in Live, just hit Tab while dragging

Totally different from bitwig. I said "easier", not "not possible".VariKusBrainZ wrote:You can drag and drop clips from arrange to session and vice versa in Live, just hit Tab while dragging

sometimes i wish, the Bitwig guys would have continued to work for Ableton and put their workflow-ideas into it. i don't want to have two main hosts and i can't afford it.

Don't know really, it seems to me it adds a layer of complexety seeing both, i prefer that each track can go back and forth to arrengement/session mode.

...yeah, but if that wasn't possible then, well, I guess I'm glad to they had the guts to try and build a better(?)/different(?) mousetrap.mellotronaut wrote:sometimes i wish, the Bitwig guys would have continued to work for Ableton and put their workflow-ideas into it.

Hard to say really. Those type of workflow issues can take time to judge, imo.daExpert wrote:Session view and arrange view on the same page. Dragging and dropping clips from one to the other is easier...

I think nowadays a company bringing a new DAW without PDC is probably not to survive long. For me at least it would be a reason to not even check it out, simply no-go.liquidsound wrote: Maybe PDC implamantation.
I mean even that Pro-DAW has it now built in.

I'm waiting for the release.. beta.. demo.. but am a little more cautious than exuberant about the software. Simply for what is said in here.. it will take hands on time with the software to really see if it is fit in workflow.
Little details that the videos have not and probably wouldn't show need to be experienced to see if it is a fit or not. On paper BWS' features look stellar to me, however.
