Other suggestions for leslie pedal maybe:

They also have an magazine article from 2011 on this - very positive.

And it seems more flexible being able to configure remote fast on/off.

And quite a bit cheaper than Ventilator.

That's neat. I like that it has crossover output.

Not crazy about the overdrive tone though. It doesn't seem to sag or really growl right, more transistory than tubey. Also seems to cut a lot of the bottom end out when the drive is high. (Of course this is just a quick first impression from watching YouTube demos, most of which are on guitar.)

True bypass and 24 bit/96 kHz AD/DA converters are amazing features to have in a pedal this price though! I think the guitarist in me is more interested in this one than the organist. ;)

Well, isn't that the one I linked to????

Or, maybe I got you wrong.

I played guitar into a leslie once, and I soon got fed up with it. Not that much you can do.

But you can connect a midi switch to it right away - which Ventilator could not.

Yes, I just thought I'd provide a link to the actual manufacturer's page, that has a lot more information than that retail site you linked to.

I'm looking into building a bottom manual for my CX-3 out of an M-Audio Keystation 61ES. It seems it's a good candidate for modification, and they're going used locally for around $100 so not very scary to rip it apart.

Here's some people doing similar mods with that keyboard...

I'd like to make it hinged so it folds in half, lengthwise. Otherwise it'll be as deep from front to back as a BX-3 -- a bit unwieldy to transport.

The other option is go small, and come up with an attachment system to hang just the keyboard sticking out under the front of the CX-3. The problem then is the stand holding up the CX-3 interfering with these attachment points. Also it seems it might be susceptible to getting snapped off, though again, at only $100 for the functioning parts, that's not such a big risk.

Going big provides the advantage of it looking more like a real organ. I wonder how much a cabinet maker would charge to do this for me out of nice Hammondy walnut? Would probably make more sense than trying to do it myself, with little woodworking skill and no wood shop.

I forgot about people using the M-audio that way.

That's a nice build.

I remember seeing this guy that build a full hammond furniture, and put the NI B4 inside with a laptop - as I remember it.

I think it was a commercial product he made.

I'll see if I can find a link...
:)

EDIT: found one interesting forum thread:
