This works but it seems to affect other patterns at times too.

Eg:
- Open new instance of Cream and change loop end of pattern 1 whilst holding Ctrl to 4.
- Change to pattern 2 and change loop end whilst holding Ctrl to 8.
- Go back to pattern 1 and observe that loop length is now 8 and not 4.

Will be fixed in the next release.

Cream seems to miss the first two notes when triggering via direct keyboard input. Visually, you can see Cream respond to keyboard input instantly (both arrows for preset and chord memory disappear as soon as you press a key. Don't know why) however there is a pause before Cream responds and when it does it starts from column three.

Is this related to "Start notes immediately setting did not work properly"?

CC's are still mixed, not sent out as unique parallel cc streams.

Example:
Set Track1 slot 1 to CC74
Set Track1 slot 2 to CC71

Check what happens...

Tracks cc's are slso mixed.

Fixed in the next release.
Track CCs are always mixed. If you want to use same CC values for different tracks please use different MIDI channels for each track.

Does the normal playback function properly i.e notes start immediately transport is started?
What are your global settings?
Do you have all steps enabled?
If you use Reaper's Virtual Keyboard can ou reproduce the behavior?

Yes, normal playback if fine if I have midi notes in a track.
Kirnu wrote:What are your global settings?
Default global settings. (ie fresh instance of Cream plugin).
Kirnu wrote:Do you have all steps enabled?
Yes. Default un-changed Cream init present. (ie fresh instance of Cream plugin).
Kirnu wrote:If you use Reaper's Virtual Keyboard can ou reproduce the behavior?
No. Using Reaper's virtual midi keyboard it works as it should.

One other thing I have noticed is the two notes that cream does not play at the start (column 1 and 2) get played on top of column 4 and 5. You can hear phasing from two notes being played at the same time. In fact if you play two notes, you can even see these notes on the gui at column 4 and 5.

Screen cap of issue:
- Playing two notes from external midi keyboard [x3]
- Playing two notes from virtual keyboard [x3]
- Playing two notes from external midi keyboard again [x3]

Image

When playing from external midi keyboard cream misses notes from columns 1 and 2, starts from column 3 (after a delay) and then plays two notes on column 4 and 5.

Cream v1.0 32bit using default settings from fresh insertion of plugin.
Reaper v4.32 32bit.

I'm seeing the same "drop first notes" problem as n0rd with Cream pre-release 8. The problem only happens with external MIDI controllers. Piano roll and virtual keyboard work fine. Reverting back to pre-release 7 fixed the external MIDI keyboard problem.

Windows XP SP3, Cream 32 bit, Reaper 4.31 32 bit.

Kirnu Cream is still the best arp ever. I love the graphics and the workflow. Very inspiring.
