2009 NAMM display...
this had many many offers upwards of 5K that were refused by the luthier.
I scored it for $1600 in an aluminium flight case believe it or not. Craig had to come up with 14K cash in a hurry to fly 28 instruments to the 2011 NAMM.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

On a serious note, I could NEVER own a guitar like that. It's just too much. If I was rich and could put it in a case, maybe. But my most expensive guitar cost me just over a grand. And it is FLAWLESS, I don't touch it
It says in it's case, and never gets played. I'm afraid of ruining it

craig does his own s/steel work too..the p/u surrounds have to follow the contour of the cut.

that's a shame really..the black gibson hanging on the end of my wall (07 custom classic 256/400) was about 4K. I like looking at them. They're all works of arthibidy wrote:On a serious note, I could NEVER own a guitar like that. It's just too much. If I was rich and could put it in a case, maybe. That is lovely werp and everything spec wise says winning also.
In the first picture it looks three dimensional that maple top/finish
Cheers for sharing her and all the best plus to everyone else as always
Dean
PS: My next is going to be an uber budget model because it is/will be ideal for a platform for upgrading/modifying and even though I try to convince myself I do not want to be that sort...I am only then living in denial because I am that sort. For the price its pretty unreal to be honest:

Couple of things to note why, The reverse headstock meaning the lower strings will have a lot more tension for br00talz, String thru, Pickups they will have to go or the bridge at least. Its got a lot of potential and way less than two ton! We are seeing better and better value for money every year IMveryhumbleHO

I'm not what you'd call a "collector". I could spend the money on one, but I have a tough time buying something I won't use regularly.werp wrote:that's a shame really..the black gibson hanging on the end of my wall (07 custom classic 256/400) was about 4K. As you already know, LTD makes a fine guitar Dean! I know what you mean about modding/money! I keep trying to talk myself into a better axe but it's like "nope, you'll still suck and be SUPER pissed if anything is wrongDean Aka Nekro wrote:That is lovely werp and everything spec wise says winning also.

Of course, in your case, no suckage is there! I haven't heard anything from you lately, if you do, shoot it my way!
BTW, have you ever heard of "Mayones?" Prolly a stupid question as I'm sure you have, but MAN! Talk about some SERIOUS coin!

I dont think it's a s shame, I kinda feel they same way hibidy does but I'm sure he's a lot more anal about how he cares for his guitars than I. I agree, the guitar is beautiful and truly a work of art, like Dean says it hits all the right specs and the guy who built it is indeed an artist. I too would be afraid that I would nick it, scratch it and if I paid 4k for a guitar it wouldn't just hang on my wall...it would have a safety strap, laser beams that set off alarms that went WHOOP, WHOOP, WHOOP, ah-ogg-ah, AHNN, AHNN, AHNN with flashing lights, window and door covers slamming down if someone so much as breathed on it.werp wrote:that's a shame really..the black gibson hanging on the end of my wall (07 custom classic 256/400) was about 4K. Me? I try to balance as many guitars as I can on one stand, (the Jackson Kelly is a bitch), I'll have three amps on at once, one guitar in my lap, another leaning against my desk, so many cables wrapped around me I've been called "The Sheriff of Nottingcord", a huge coil of speaker wires around the base of my chair...I'm a walking disaster waiting to happen (well sitting really)
Dean, 199 here in the U.S....not bad, the spirit of Ian lives on here at KvR
I'm not really finding too many guitars out there lately that get me excited, I want for nothing except perhaps...well that's for another day...waaaaaaaaaaaaay down the road.

Now that is a happy, happy looking man. You look like:
Roseanne Barr at a bake-off
Donald Trump at a Swiss bank vault
Larry Flynt at a filming of Dancing of the Stars
A grizzly bear at a salmon spawning
My wife at Tiffany & Co.
A room full of KVR'ers when Urs announces his next free plug-in
A room full of guitarists when a new Tube Screamer clone is released
A room full of drummers when someone turns a lightbulb on
Hibidy when the latest Ibanez catalog comes out
