Using M Audio Mini Keystation 32 & iGrand, Magellan, DXi I have excellent, velocity sensitive key control. But with iMini, iPolysix, iMS20 - very poor or no velocity sensitivity control? I have explored the keyboard sensitivity options on the Keystation 32, so it's not there that the problem lies. Wondering about the Velocity Sensitivity options in iMini, iPolysix, iMS20 ?

The original synths they are emulating didn't have velocity or after touch, so neither do the ipad versions.

I suspected as much. Still, I would be happy to have the option to introduce more dynamic energy into playing these classic emulations . I guess I'll dream on! :)

Try mapping velocity to key follow.
Not the same, but gives the patch another dimension.

Yep. Will continue looking into that. Had a go last night with the iMini MIDI mapping option. But, when I choose a control, then hit the Keystation keyboard: There is no recognition of any hardware MIDI device. iMini wants a control knob to moved I presume. I am so far unable to link velocity from my M Audio K32 :( Will look into the Korg options later. Cheers.

Bind the knob or fader in the synth to a cc#.
Find out what cc your controller uses for aftertouch.
Use MIDI Bridge to transform aftertouch to your chosen cc#

Thanks for the tips. I don't have MIDI Bridge yet. I will look into it!
