Strangely my favourite GUIs are from things I don't own...
:: Vember => Surge
:: Linplug => Octopus
:: Linplug => RMv

But mostly (and this might be cheating...) Reason. I had Adapted version, long ago, and I have messed with the demo of... 4? Still my favourite GUI, both for looks and for usability. I guess I just love cables.

Oh, Bazille is a fantastic GUI, and I do have that one -- the Alpha anyway :)

+1 for Diversion as one of the 5

I've seen Monark's interface and I think it's the best looking soft synth.

The overal most beautiful plugin interface is not a synth but an effect, Pulsar.
It has great pastel colors, some beautiful retro knobs and a few art deco style elements. :love: Too bad it's not a vst plugin (Reason only):

The only thing I don't like about it is the white surroudings.

It's quite odd that Pulsar reminds me of Monark:

(the branch name is a bit hard too read, it's a Monark bike)
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

I forgot to mention 'Spire' I think it looks very nice (not that it's out yet tho').

Quite an odd thread...they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder (and it's all subjective, obviously), but I think I disagree with most of these. :D Like, for instance, Reaktor might be a lot of things, but 'beautiful' isn't one thing I'd call it...

I do like Korg's Mono/Poly and Massive though.

Personally, I think UVI nails this, most of their instruments (even if based on existing hardware - or wait, does it count then?) are really pixel-perfect creations, just from a purely visual perspective.

MOTU also does some nice ones (actually, they might also be from UVI), like their DP plug-ins or Electric Keys.

This personal edit of Jorgen of nBeat's excellent Vostok skin for Pentagon 1 has always been one of my favorites:

Nice! :)
Where can I get that one, or is it even available? Also, are there others for Pentagon I?

1. Ugo has always created some of the best looking instruments out there (best sounding too). In particular, REZ has one of the sharpest GUI's going. Especially the luminescent blue Rez v. 1.

2. Very rare that I DON'T like an NI GUI. Their synths all look superb to me, especially Massive and FM8.

3. Something about the look of Padshop Pro that always grabs my attention. Love the sound too.

4. I'll get some heat for this, I'm sure, but I really like the FLS line, graphically speaking. The simple black of FLS, and the matching setup of Morphine and Poizone really appeals to me for some reason. Looking forward to version 11 so I can start using them again in x64.

5. Synthmaster. Elegant and well laid out.

Honorable mention: Dune
Berfab
So many plugins, so little time...

Sorry, I've been in jury duty all day.....that's something I can recommend avoiding at all cost..... :lol:

Anyway I've never released my edit of the Vostok skin out of respect for Jorgen but you can find the original and some others here as well:

I've always been a huge fan of his work....... :)

It's funny to me to see how many people seem to dig eye candy at the expense, or absence, of good UI design. For me, I could care less about pretty designs if the interface is clear and intuitive. Right now, the best UI I can think of is Serum. So clean and easy to use.
