Sendy wrote:Now that I think of it I consider Jungle more dancable than drum and bass. While jungle has most of the weight on the one and had plenty of events between the main heavy beats (ghost snares, little rolls, filter pops, extra beat layers playing peek-a-boo) that allow you to pick and choose what parts to respond to (essentially a bit like weaving your way through a maze), drum and bass is all jiggajiggaBOOF jiggajiggaBOOF like an express train. It's a unicursal labyrynth with one entrance and one exit, and those ubiquitous kick drum buildups that start off slow and build up to semiquavers and then there's a snare and silence and drop? That just makes me feel like gouging my eyes out with the nearest thing. Bonus points if there's a riser, woop-woop siren or noise blasts. >_<
Remind me to make a track with you before I die. Or if I ever get to set up a record label, release one of your tracks.

Jungle?

Booyaka.

Of course! :)

45 °C would be the extreme, and is quite rare. More likely somewhere between 35 and 42 °C.

Choose your costume wisely ;)

The drop in this tune... It's like the antithesis of pretty much every drop I've ever heard in anything released in the last few years aimed at the dancefloor. It happens, it's cold, it's clever without being over-thought-out or obvious, it doesn't give a f**k if you understand it or not... and it sends electricity up my spine and makes the back of my neck tingle :)

Barrington Levy in a jungle stylee.

I can only thank you for your sensitivity, never heard that one before.

Gotta love the Germans though:

Yes ich.

Saw them at Brixton Academy.

This is good as well:

But not so great, just for the collection.

If you want to have your mind blown, check this out:

The originals:

This one is good too:

f**k, I still can't find it. Everyone has remixed this tune. In fact, I'll just mix one up myself.

Sorry, failed. Black Uhuru for the world! Rest in peace Sandra Jones (Puma).

There is more than one drop in there. One of them brought tears to my eyes, another gave me a heart attack, the other one was just... nasty...

That Dub smugglers version a real nice.. I did get high hopes though seeing Shabba there but it wasn't so good. You know Shabba Ranks original Mr Loverman, the bedroom bully, wicked in bed:

But yea, I better get some sleep already, let this thread get back on track again.. Thanks for the jungle trip I got over here, got some musical ideas on the way.. And Congo Natty still making some fine music it seems. And Daddy Freddy also still live and kicking.. Yea, crazy stuff.

Yeah Mr. lover man. Homophobic twat. Do you know how I punish him? I dl his music from youtube for free and legally and dance around in my shreddies singing:

Great singer though.

Germany. I appreciate the herb you brought for me.

Yes I.

Man that Shabba Ranks tune is great.

I hate it when music is so good it makes me go against my morals.

One Direction don't do dat for me.

Wtf?? Chavstep anyone?
