Hi all, I just got a new macbook pro and need to get an audio card for it. I'm hoping for 8 in/out but could live with 6 or 4 plus headphones if there's a particularly good deal. What I definitely want is great latency. Any suggestions on what to check out, or what to avoid?

thanks!

What's the budget? I'd start with looking at some of the MOTU range personally with those requirements.

If your have Firewire

And is portable.

Otherwise

But MOTU is maybe better, just showing something different.

I have a Saffire 6 usb, but I love it, it's stable and a solid build covers my needs for recording, as I use a simple audio mixer for out board instruments which I play myself.

If your doing single takes of a band playing in a studio set up live, then of course you need more.
